Couple months ago I bought the DJI mics and I've been very happy so far. I think they have way more features than I will ever use but mostly I was looking for the noise canceling
@WojnarskiWeldingFabricaion11 күн бұрын
Agreed I was looking for a good action camera for my channel but I really needed good noise canceling working in a welding shop with machines and loud fans going. I tried a couple cameras and mics and ended up going with the newer DJI camera and DJI mic 2 I don’t have the transmitter it pairs wirelessly to the action camera but works good for that. But the noise cancellation is really good on that mic 👍

I have the Holllyland lark and my problem with it is that the mic is so sensitive it peaks out unless I place it at least 2 feet away from me. And yes, I’ve changed all sorts of settings with the receiver and everything you can adjust and it’s still is too peaky for me to use. Granted, I talk a little bit louder than most people, but I feel like I have to whisper when using that mic.

I'd stay away from wireless microphones period. I got myself a few Tentacle Sync units. Timecode plus 32 bit float - can't beat that. So versatile. No worries about loosing signal, no interference. Battery life for the whole day of shooting. European version of Track E after recent firmware update is a game changer.

Awesome review. I have the m2 (for use with my cellphone for casual use) and the dji mic 2 for more pro use when I need better sound and more discreet wind protection outdoors. The Shure mic sounds too harsh to my ears. One suggestion would be to record the lav mics on your chest in the same spot to simulate real world sound/placement. Overall - super cool to hear the m2 and shure against the mic 2 and rode!

It's strange, I absolutely love the DJI Wireless Mic 2 in the field, but the Rode system is absolutely AMAZING at home paired with the ecosystem within the Rodecaster DUO for Twitch streaming and content creation. So that's the split now :) Dji for business, Rode for pleasure. If you have a chance would love your opinion on a mic from MeetSummer called the X1. I did a test for it and it was nice, but I feel your testing is more thorough and you have a larger pool to compare to. It has a larger capsule which is kind of a neat difference point.

Great video! I was wondering, are there reasons you'd want to choose a lapel mic over the internal mic, other than it looking 'more professional'? I make all sorts of video's as a freelancer and I sometimes have to do interviews. People often use the lapel mics for that, but I don't really get why you'd use a lapel mic with a cable when using a transmitter seems so much more convenient.
@ThinkMediaTV2 ай бұрын
Sometimes using transmitters you will have signal drop out, and that is something you would not want to deal with on a professional freelance shoot. The Rode Wireless Pro and DJI Mic 2 solve that issue because they have built in memory recording as a backup! But as far as choosing the internal mic VS a lapel mic, they just sound very different. It is all up to personal preference as to which sound you prefer!

Hey there... do you have a suggestion for a product if I need three mics connected at the same time?
@assetinvestco5820Ай бұрын
Why didn't you also rate the Hollyland Lark Max? It's more comparable to the mics you were testing there. The Hollyland Lark M2 is really more for being super small & compact convenience and stealth instead of the big square clip on mics but with just as good quality and range, the M2 is obviously much smaller than most other wireless mics in your lineup by far, and with 9 hrs or recording time for something about the size of a nickel or smaller than a quarter. Thx for all your videos and helpful product reviews. Unfortunately, this one seemed lacking with including the Hollyland Lark Max...

I'm kind of shocked you didn't try the ULANZI J12 (USB-C) $49.95/ULANZI J11 (Lightning) $39.95, I think for the cost it is a great pickup and you get 2 mics. Yes it doesn't have internal storage and you can't plug an external mic, but again if you want to just get started with a smaller size mic setup for the budget minded people this is a go to mic.

@@ThinkMediaTVthanks for the reply! I have heard those 2 were similar. I found the Neewer CM28 for about $70 so I might give it a try. I hate to say it but if you're considering yourself that much of a professional that you absolutely have to have recording and transmission capability in your Wireless then you're probably looking at the super expensive company that has the patent that's preventing everybody else from implementing that feature. thankfully it's going to expire hopefully it doesn't get patent trolled and all the other manufacturers can update their firmware.
