Are you sure that "Vol Index" isn't Volatility index and not Volume index?
@PriceTimeCrypto3 жыл бұрын
UPDATE: Please check video description. You are 100% correct! I am not sure how I missed that... a mistake for sure. Thankfully the concept behind the scan (and the scan as presented in the video) is still valid on its own accord. I will have to post an updated video in the future. Good catch!

@@PriceTimeCrypto I used that scan on Monday and it was like a piece of cake making bank. Then tuesday I took of the vol index because it wasn't about volume and also did okay. Today I did every single trade wrong like an idiot lol

Scan add stock > % change min 3%. > stock close min .75 or 75%. -> stock pure volume min .5Million. ->stock Vol Index min 250%. -> all optionable.

Basically does the same thing as ScanZ but you cannot have multiple scanners up at one time with varying criteria.

The scan link does not work for me....I get 403 Forbidden. Would like to find a way to eliminate 2 sectors in the scan. Probably no can do. I would prefer to have all stocks in sectors Pharmecutials and Biotechs as too much vol and ability to tank before you can get out....even blow by past your stop and lose a ton of money......tks for the vid....subscribed...seriously & sincerely, jim Incurable Optimist with Insatiable curiosity......grin

How do you add that volume panel under the chart as shown in the video?
@PriceTimeCrypto3 жыл бұрын
In the "Chart" tab navigate towards the top right and find the gear icon. Click on this to open "Chart Settings". On this first pop-up page, on the bottom half, towards the right side, you will see "Layout:" with checkboxes to "Show price subgraph" and "Overlap volume". Make sure "Show price subgraph" is checked, and "Overlap volume" is unchecked. Another thing you may need to do is still within the "Chart Settings" pop-up, navigate to the "Equities" tab on the upper panel and where it says "Volume:" make sure "Show volume subgraph" is checked. You can do this for the "Options", "Futures", and "Forex" tabs as well. I hope this helps!

Thanks.. volume and volatility is not easy to setup to find those pre runners. How do you setup the TVI on the Volume indicator? Since I show Volume on my price chart , could I add it to the main chart?
@PriceTimeCrypto3 жыл бұрын
Good question! You can change where studies are located on the chart by clicking "Studies" on the top right of the chart. Go from Studies -> Edit Studies. On the right side of the menu under "Added studies and strategies," you will see three sections: Price, Volume, and Lower. If you add a study from the left menu, you can then click/hold and drag that study between those three sections on the right menu. I hope this helps!

Thanks buddy. I find your video very useful. When we screen the volume > 500,000, it's volumne per hour or minute? What's the convention here? Also for the price change %, I'd assume it's comparing market price to previous close/ or today's open price? Appreciated.

It's normal for a more specific scan to not pickup anything at times. It just means that no stocks have that setup currently. Keep checking from time-to-time, or adjust the time-frame to 4 hours or 1 hour for more likelihood of finding stock scenarios that match.
