metasurfaces are a type of structured surface designed to manipulate electromagnetic waves, while intelligent surfaces, such as Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces, may use metasurfaces or other technologies to dynamically adapt and optimize their performance in wireless communication or other applications.
