Before the last Third Eye Blind album came out this year, I kept wondering whether their music would still be relevant today, years after they were the mainstream Rock darlings of the late 90s? When I finally heard Dopamine, I realized that the band had just released some of their finest tracks to date. Take ‘Back to Zero’ for example - a song written when Stephen Jenkins, (who was suffering from writer’s block at the time), traded places and lives with another musician from a bad neighbourhood. I can play this track on repeat, and each time without fail that last chorus makes my hair stand. This is what 3EB were always masters at: packing an emotional punch through their explosive, signature Alternative-Rock sound. Yup, it still works like a (semi)-charm in 2015. #punkflop #trackdrops #thirdeyeblind trackdrops.com/2015/10/14/third-eye-blind-back-to-zero/

Just saw them for around the 6-7th time last night in Tulsa. After Out of the Vein I had pretty much lost interest in 3EB. I just didn't like what he/they were writing at the time. Dopamine is on point and downloaded it first thing this morning. Love this track. Really dig the guitar. As that 80's The Cure sound. Great song.
