First card straight out of the gate you nailed it. I am in my persons heart because I'm his first love, long before he even met and married the karmic. We're childhood sweethearts and first loves. I didn't even know he still had feelings for me until decades later when we reconnected a couple of years ago. He said he married his "best friend" and unfortunately they should've stayed friends. It didn't translate into a healthy, loving relationship. He even said that he and I share in something that they don't. He reached out to me after all this time to apologise for what happened between us all those years ago. Neither of us knew we still had feelings, we didn't expect or plan this. It just happened. I know he didn't want anyone to get hurt but you can't be in this situation and expect everyone to like it either. The karmic knows who I am btw. Because of our history, we had a lot to talk about, things that were never spoken and resolved, the reasons for our trauma and why our lives went the paths that they did. The life we were planning together was sabotaged by his mother. It was a shock for both of us when we both realised how we still felt, what was taken from us, what we could have had together. His mother also passed exactly months weeks before we reconnected. It was a lot to deal with and work through. But his wife wouldn't let him anywhere near me. We could barely speak online because she was monitoring everything he was saying and doing. Something had to give and it did. It went nuclear. He chose to stay stuck, but I don't even know if they are still together. It wasn't good last we spoke and if they are still together, it would be more toxic now than it was before I came back. It's gone well past the point of no return. We haven't spoken for about a year now. If he's staying away it is out of respect and also because I told him to not bring this into my life again. First his mother, now his wife. Unless he stands with me then stay away. I won't take the blame for their situation, that is on them. I wasn't accepting breadcrumbs or playing the third wheel either. I will only own what little part I played. That all said, his heart is with me and mine is with him and she knows it, yet no one in this situation is happy. You are right, they would be happier with other people. They can still co-parent and it will probably be a healthier relationship too. This is what he needs to figure out and realise on his own. I see my TF’s mother as his karmic right now. they have quite a dysfunctional bond that he feels obligated to be a part of it at this time. I think both his father and mother are getting to a point where they’re gonna leave this planet their human bodies. I don’t know how long my TF will go on with feeling obligated to them and especially to his mother… I do think that he doesn’t include me with get-togethers with his parents. Partly it is to protect me from his mother who can be hurtful.
