Blue dude is Storm Surge, a TF07 repaint of Cybertron Shortround. EDIT: Ah, Storm Surge was repurposed as SG Seaspray while that Botcon Octopunch was the SG one. I think there was a point where SG Octopunch met his main universe counterart and they had a scuffle.

i think the box cover art is a reference to the "Han shot first" scene in Star Wars, the colors of both figures match up along with the shot placement hitting Octopunch/Greedo in the shoulder

Yea I'd say the appeal of newage for me is that they're so nice AND so small. Like they'd still be great at normal scale but I love that they're just so quality and articulated despite being so smol.

I just got my hands on my first ever Seaspray. Its the PotP version, and I love him. I definitely need to get more down the line. The minibots rule.

I think the novelty is that they're small, but that's because they're REALLY good small guys. They'd probably be alright blown up, but I think they'd need some more detailing or something

Not sure if this is the same on all copies, but the two-pack figures I got with the original Seaspray have really solid hip ball joints, which is something that NewAge has struggled with in the past. Here's hoping they finally cracked the code for better stability overall moving forward.
