my try-on trick for pants at the thrift.....grab a skirt off the rack & put it on. Take your pants off under the skirt and try on the pants that you want to buy. When VV decided to remove their change rooms this became my go-to as I am hard to fit for bottoms (short waist w/long inseam).

Oh girl yes. After the first miscarriage I was wayyy worse and furniture was definitely purchased as well 😂 Thankfully after the second one I don’t feel the need to spend as much. And thank you! It was really nice to have a day with the girls to take my mind off things 🩷 (even though you never really stop thinking about it)

What a bunch of beautiful looking ladies! I wish that you were able to try those overalls on, I’m sure they would have looked great on you(but for $13, I probably would have passed too.) I’m in Nevada, and Salvation Army, goodwill and savers are all extremely overpriced. The independent thrift stores are catching up and it’s so disappointing. Lastly, I loved all the Perry smooches in this video and her with her baby doll. I always remind my, now 11 yo daughter, that when we donate the things that no longer bring us joy, they might bring joy to others. And I also remind her about how excited she has been when she has found things she really loves and tell her that if that child didn’t donate it, she wouldn’t have found it😉

I feel you on the art at Goodwill - We've been taking our time to find things we really love for our apartment as opposed to filling up space and a few weeks back I was perusing the art section and found a super cool vintage-y picture of the desert that's now hanging above our couch - found out it was a West Elm picture that's currently retailing for over $400 - it was the color of the day, so got it for like $7 😲

For pants, there’s a really simple trick. When they’re done up, put the waist a routine neck. If that fits, then they will fit you. It works!

You can also line them up with your spine and if they reach your belly button they should fit. More accurate for hourglass and pear shape, idk what video I saw this tip on but I like it ❤

I would’ve picked up the Patagonia sweater if it was a good price and sold it on facebook marketplace for a profit to fund my thrifting. I’ve done this with quite a few things in the past. I don’t charge wild prices. But it’s enough to make it work while and sometimes make my thrift hauls free!

Oh yes! I try to only go once a month(ish) and keep myself on a budget! (But those once a month trips are what I record) My mom and sister and I love thrifting and have always done it together, so it’s more of a hobby or fun activity that I look forward to. If I had an addiction, it would have already started by now 😂 Especially with losing two babies this year, this is one of my small pieces of joy currently.
