theyre jerks no matter what hun. it doesnt matter if youre near their home or not or near any food source. if they see you they attack.

@@ian.swift.31614 I know it can seem like that, but really they're just animals. They don't have the brain capacity for malice. It can be intimidating when they fly near but that's not always aggression! A lot of times they're just investigating. If you're calm around them, they usually just check you out and then leave. The only time I was ever stung was because I trapped one with my foot when I stepped in tall grass. Really, a completely understandable reason to sting. I'd probably do the same if I thought I was about to get squashed by a giant.

thats a freakin yellow jacket. do not help those. it's not a nice honeybee which i find always drinking out of my hummingbird feeders and sometimes have to rescue one who got stuck in the bird bath in the morning before a bird comes and eats them up. but yellow jacket? get outta here that aint cute.
