Yeah, like plenty of songs and music videos portray soldiers as Nazis, Fascist, Murderers. But they don't just protest the war itself. I once worked along side a man who probably would have aimed a rifle at my dad. This guy was kind, hard working, and yet he was the enemy of my country 50 years ago. I feel both him and my late dad would have probably had long talks. I know he was in a battle against another guy at the same place and they cannot work with each other and would get into fights. I can understand their pain on both sides. Both had to fight for their countries causes and watched those they knew die around them and suffer. Next war we enter I vote we don't send kids. We send the assholes who wanna sit in chairs collecting 7 figures off the people.

I remember seeing people commenting on the scene of them shooting at the flying vehicles like it would do anything, almost making fun of the absurdity of that. Only now, do I realise that that scene is meant to represent a few things about war: Chaos, Bravery in the face of Hopelessness, and Comradery. blanks actually shoot usually "wooden" or other soft-point pellets to the guns blocked barrel. At least thats what we did in finnish army training with blanks. it ejects the powder shell like when shooting actual bullets. It just turns the "blank tip" into dust after shooting. The cleaning operation after using such blanks... takes ages.

This is how I see this video. At the beginning the Humvee is speeding down the road, symbolizing how eager we are to go to war. A while later, the vehicles start flying. That symbolized how valuable resources are being used and that we don't need vehicles of destruction. When the form a peramid, it shows the amount of waste and junk piles up in war until it shows a peaking point. The pyramid could also symbolize power. How the elite used money and power to create monuments, like the pyramids. And as you know, money is power. Power can pick give us the chance to advance, but its only the common man that can make humanity reach its full potential. Only the common man can end war. The wealthy create wars, we fight it. Anyway, the scrap pile also means how war destroys everything. How we waste so much for war machines only to have them destroyed in meaningless conflict. And at the end of the video, the Singer switches to his side arm to continue the fight. That shows how war takes everything away fron us. Anything I miss?
