Dont have this rod.. but carbonlite 2.0 rod is a workhorse as well. Paired with carbonlite reel…. Its a hammer!

Do you miss the full cork handle rods . Do you prefer the new rods. I call them unfinished rods . All my rods are still full cork there hard to find . Thank you .

Some frog bait and flipping situations call for an extra heavy rod. It’s all about the technique being used , where and bait.

I know what you mean 20 pound test line does sound a bit heavy. I would go with 12 or 15 pound line instead of 20 pound line. Only way i can see you using 20 pound line is if you have a medium/heavy rod that is more like a medium.

@@LouisJr. Heavier is the 50 or 60 # braided line for froggin’ in pads.
