Nice video. When you were recording sample footage with the tt artisan 10mm were you using a gimbal or was that just the xt5 IBIS stabilization?

Andrei, quick question for you. If you were to compare this to the Rokinon 12mm F2 manual focus lens, which would you go for? Cheers, mate. Thanks again for the great content! ❤
@rpmusick10 ай бұрын
Samyang has worse colors, and much more distortion. If you want 12mm get 7artisans T2.9 cine lens.

Hello and thanks for this review ! I'm looking forwasrd to get a ultrawide angle lense for the 40mpix APSC Fuji sensor (X-H2 and coming X-T5). How would you compare the Laowa 10mm f4, TTartisan F2 and Viltrox 13mm F1.4 on this sensor, putting aside the size and max aperture ? Would the coockie Laowa be equivalent IQ to the TTartisan ? Would the Viltrox be really significatively better ? Only for photo, no video. Thanks !
@AndreiDimaReviews5 ай бұрын
Between the Laowa and the TTArtisan, I would pick the TTArtisan. The Viltrox is better but not by much.

Hello, Andrei. I was hoping you could help me pick a lens for interior homes. I am a house painter and I want to take photos for real estate and business portfolio purposes. I am looking for a wide angle lens with a decently wide aperture as the lighting isn't always perfect. My only short focal length lens right now is a Fujinon 23mm f/2 WR. I need something for small rooms and bathrooms so maybe two different sizes are needed. I shoot on an X-T30 II.
@AndreiDimaReviews7 ай бұрын
Hello, the Viltrox 13mm f1.4 is a good lens for interiors. And if you want something wider the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D is great. Also the one in this review if you are on a budget.
@6.5mm_is_the_best_mm7 ай бұрын
@@AndreiDimaReviews I ordered the Fuji 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR yesterday as it seemed like a versatile lens that could handle most situations and I realized that I will be stopping down to around f/8 from a tripod most of the time to get the entire room in focus. I will be doing exposure bracketing to brighten up the image. Also, the OIS might come in handy for video since my current camera does not have ibis. Thank you for replying with your recommendations. I will check them out. I am sure the images will be sharper in the corners with the primes you mentioned vs the wide-angle Fuji zoom, and I might use the 13mm f/1.4 quite a bit.

Can we use this lens for astrophotography???

Yes
@victorli43167 ай бұрын
Is it a good astro lens? I want to replace my Samyang 12mm f2 as sometimes the colour is not great, but it is a great astro lens. I am considering this TtArtisan (very wide) and Viltrox 13mm 1.4 (very bright). I wish I can have both.
@AndreiDimaReviews7 ай бұрын
I never used this one for astro photography but I used the Viltrox 13mm and is good for astro.
@poche6602 ай бұрын
IMO it is not a good astro lens. To get adequate sharpness you need to stop down causing you to need a long exposure. I'm sure process techniques would help a lot.

How can you have focus breathing on a manual lens?
@AndreiDimaReviews3 ай бұрын
Focus breathing can occur on both manual and autofocus lenses. It's a phenomenon where the angle of view changes slightly when adjusting the focus. This is due to the optical design of the lens, where the internal elements move to achieve focus, causing a change in magnification. While it’s more noticeable in some lenses than others, focus breathing isn't necessarily tied to whether a lens is manual or autofocus; it's more about the specific construction and design of the lens itself.

@AndreiDimaReviews Thanks, I thought it was an auto focus len trying to find focus. I use focus peaking and never noticed

Interesting lens. How big is the difference between this inexpensive lens from TTArtisan 10mm f2 Ultra Wide Angle Lens and the higher priced NiSi 9mm f/2.8 Sunstar Aspherical Lens?

I think the TTArtisan is sharper in the centre at f2.8 but the NISI has better corner performance.

Sharp enough but nowhere near as sharp as any Fujinon lens. I would buy it again for the ultra wide angle but not for sharpness. But for some sharpness is not always the end game. For $150 how could anyone be disappointed with this lens.
