Sri Lankan American outside hitter Lndon Wijay was virtually unstoppable in high school. An All-American and the number 2 recruit in California. She had offers from virtually everywhere.
She reclassified into the class of 2023 and she’s already dominating at the Division One level at USC. She was named Pac 12 freshman of the week FOUR TIMES and was selected to the All-Freshman team and was an all-conference honorable mention.

Too bad volleyball is only played as an organized sport by girls. I wish they had it for boys. But good on them for having an option to this sport.

​@kaiga7255 not necessarily. For girls, its tonnes easier to get formally trained for Volleyball. Guys have to get lucky they spawn where volleyball is played. Live in mid-MI, the closest beach where good comp is, is about 2 ½ hours away. Battle Creek, Grand Rapids area. Or even indoor. Have two to three nights of drop ins. Thats it. Makes it really hard unless you are actively in community College or uni.

It’s more common at the high school level, like I play for a travel team and my high school team, but in college yes it’s annoying that most schools only have women’s
