This 1860’s Mansion Surprised Me by Finally Letting Me In. Awesome Time Capsule

The history of this area is amazing and mysterious. Where an Ancient culture gives way to modern expansion. The energy(s) here are very noticeable and inside this home you forget it’s 2024 outside of these walls. Looks like someone is trying to restore it. Best wishes to anyone who preserves instead of destroys.
Built in 1863 during the Civil War, this Pike Co. Missouri mansion has seen America expand westward. The confluence of the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers are due East a few miles and the confluence with the Missouri River is just downstream. This Mansion has probably held several historic gatherings and witnessed many historic events. The hands of time seem to stand still here, and looks like some restless spirits still hang out here.

Thanks Pamela-yeah, the place was overwhelming my senses when the camera was moving fast-very strange sensations in a few of the rooms. House made a few sounds that wasn’t me when I watch this footage also. Creepy

This was pretty much clean except for the holes in the ceiling in the one bedroom but other than that it looked as if someone had moved or left just minutes before and never bothered to come back home…..very nice home…..thank you for sharing this beautiful home ❤

So surreal, almost feels like you’ve entered into another dimension inside. What a history that house must have had! Although time has marched on she's sure held onto a lot, even the view out the window hasn't changed much. (Thankfully!) Very cool Mark! :)

Time warp indeed, with all of that charged residual energy built up in there, you probably did time travel! Glad you were able to document it as so many beautiful buildings get lost to time without any record of their glory days You can tell this house must have been something to see back in her prime, she still Is a beauty even now as she stands. @@chicka-rocka - Found out it was built in 1863 during the Civil War. Imagine the first few years there with the Mississippi River just a quick horse 🐎 ride away. Indians still traveling the rivers, the Confederates downstream trying to take over, no electricity and outhouses. Every day here then was unpredictable but man, to feel that energy here was just what I live for. Thanks Chicka!

@markmcarthy596 Oh yea, I can understand what you mean by that. Growing up at my parents house, I saw, heard and felt plenty of unexplainable events that I still think about to this day. The house was definitely not right - being the oldest one on the block.

The Civil War ended on May 26th 1865 . . . more or less . . . and, "That 1800's Smell" - is probably LEAD PAINT smell. If that house could talk . . it would NEVER shut up. Whoever lived there, LEFT in a big hurry - they didn't take much with them.

Couldn't really see the woodwork and rooms.. moving camera too fast around and so up close on the walls and stuff.. didn't see much of the bedrooms and u didn't go in the bathroom.. but nice outside..
