@NostalgicMotorcycles8 ай бұрын
Honestly, your choice is a good one. Not because riding it feels a lot different like I said it’s well balanced and easy to handle. But simply moving it around. Backing out of spaces take a lot more effort. If you make a balance mistake in this bike it will fall where as the scout most people can just hold the bike if they don’t get the low speed stuff right. Once you get those woopies out of the way go for it. From a riding perspective it’s not too hard to handle just really the weight at slow speed.

@TheBananaStrangler8 ай бұрын
@@leftlegtrumpcard8152I recently just test rode them both at Bike Week in Daytona and I can tell you with certainty that the Challenger makes the Chieftain feel slow. The power plus 108 out performs the thunder stroke in every way. That being said, the chieftain is really nice. The controls and gages are much closer in the batwing fairing compared to the fixed fairing. If the rumors are true and Indian will be offering power plus motors in both bikes next year, definitely wait and try both with equivalent power plants. That way you will be able to compare apples to apples and make your decision based on preference, not lack of power and performance! Both are really, really nice!

The Indian brand was out selling Victory two to one. It’s a business. Business need to make a profit in order to survive. A stage 1 upgrade is like 2k, and it takes this motor to 134 hp. I believe Indian is upgrading the motor on the upcoming Challenger refresh, to 112 cubic inches, up from the current 108 liquid cooled. So here's my plan. Wait for the new model with 112" motor, at 130+ hp and then stage 1 upgrade it to, I'm guessing 145 hp. Imagine that. A new Challenger with factory warranty pushing 145 hp for say 35k. Shut up and take my money! Hurry up Indian!!
@NostalgicMotorcycles3 ай бұрын
Lmfao I’ve heard the same about the 112. However Indian has stopped selling factory performance upgrades suck as cams and big bore kits etc. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️. So you will void warranty if that continues to be the case in the future.
