He's 100.1% right about the C6 Z06 platform. My daily is a 2010 with 691whp (supercharged) and, at basically 3,100lbs, it can kill most other cars on the street... depending where you live. I've destroyed modded Hellcats (and Demons), Mustangs, Camaros, Ferraris, a Lambo Aventador, dozens of tuner Japanese and German cars, you name it. Prices are so low you can afford to pick one up and fix it to your liking for well under the cost of a new "base" C8. Just take it to a reputable shop with LOTS of LS experience like these guys. Stock Exhaust on LS stuff that make big power is the way to go. Literally the car just has the "don't test ME" growl when cruising and if someone decides to goof... they *ROAR* Love it man LOVE IT!!! Yea, would probably also do a baby shot of Nitrous on the Vette.

I am cancelling my c8 zo6 order to buy a low-mile c6 Zo6. This car will be a collectors car for sure. N/A 427ci with 6-speed manual in the sexy low-weight wide body c6. The best and most "vette" corvette made second only to the split-window c2.

I have an 07 Z06. He mentioned the tr6060 tranny from the 08 up being a blast. I like my t56 with the MGW short throw. Is the tr6060 that much better for banging gears?

Tr6060 is a beefier transmission however the t56 is good too... you would have to change the shift forks in the t56 so you don't bend them when you are banging gears...

I don't think there's much benefit on a NA car. Now for my bolt-on c7 z06 that's a different story. Unfortunately the direct injection on the c7's adds another layer of complexity running e85 vs port injection on the earlier cars.
