I find the KZbin guidelines weird, and outright ridiculous, as there's been videos of the situation in Ukraine where you see people and animals shot dead and KZbin hasn't taken them down, but animals killed humanely in traps is considered evil by KZbin?
@FrederickDunn2 жыл бұрын
Yikes, they cut your video with so many views? Well, I'm glad we're here to help bring those views right back up. Great attitude Shawn, keep doing what you do and we'll be here watching. Very interesting toilet paper tube shroud... well played. ==

I remember the original. It's downright terrifying that YT's standards are so stupidly draconian that they would delete that one. YT needs to throw out their new standards and go back to the old ones.

"Oh thank you KZbin and nice Mr Gates for shielding me, at the age of 74, from the morally corrupt sight of mice being humanely dispatched. You festering hypocrites." Genuine thanks Shawn, for re-doing the video. I found the thin spring steel inserts of discarded windscreen wipers up to the task. For rats, you could layer them like vehicle springs and make the noose from a "finished" guitar top E string, a tricky but fun job.

For one, this is Google that owns KZbin...anyways, it's weird because there's literally softcore porn and sexual nudity on KZbin, plus videos on the Ukraine war where you see people getting SHOT and KILLED, but killing animals humanely with traps is somehow evil to KZbin..

This is so satisfying, it makes a DIYer make his own mouse and rat traps. All of the way from this simple and very effective design to the electronic mouse and rat zappers. I think the cardboard toilet roll is an improvement. KZbin is getting way to sensitive, the next thing they'll have you do is the slip and slide into the aquarium and then into these traps, which would be more satisfying. It'll be a live trap head game changer. 🤔😉😁😁😁

I have someone in Germany who builds these traps from a block. There is also a shop in France that makes the traps a little smaller. The big traps are better. Over the hole there should be a small, movable hook that tightens the spring as long as you install the thread. Flour or peanuts are good bait.

Between this design and a bucket based design, I think that's "all there is". There might be some more condensed designs that work inside a tight crevice or other really specific constraint, but the noose design and bucket design take care of the vast majority of situations.
