As an Australian, I visited some family in Oahu, Hawaii and they invited to a high school football game between Kahuku and St. Louis High. Holy crap…. It was literally like going to a NRL (national rugby league) game here in Sydney. The vibe and crowd was crazy! I cannot wait to go back and watch another game one day. These high schools are on another level compared to Australia

What some folks who are not in LA or don't follow high school football closely may not know is that the Polynesian culture is also huge in the LA area, particularly in Long Beach and the South Bay area (Carson, Torrance, etc.). A big reason why the top two high school teams in America are from the area (St. John Bosco and Mater Dei) is because they have some of those monster Polynesian athletes on their team. It's a beautiful culture and those boys are huge and can play some serious ball - including DJ Uiagalelei's younger brother, Matayo, who's a 5 star and top 10 recruit for 2023.
