it's a design close to 150 years old now, they had them in the late 1800s as "folding bowies" with those exact same kind of crossguards

These are some Badass switchblades...and they're real Italians manufactured/assembled by hand still In maniago Italy. AKC,A.G.A,frank and Armando Beltrame are all legendary italian knife makers/companies. And this is definitely a fine example of their craftsmanship.

It's actually kinda funny, AKC is considered the "low end" of switchblade quality. I have a couple and they are nice, but you are paying mostly for the look.

Ya it's absolutely an auto. No idea wtf that goofball up there is talking about. Probably thinks "auto" is exclusive to OTFs which is incorrect. In terms of quality, this knife is actually garbage. Not something I'd recommend.

The Italian made Switches are the best quality. They also cost at least $100 if not more. I had a knockoff that I noticed were not as good. There’s a heavier, sturdier and solid feel to the Italian models. But they are also illegal. So hard to find as well.

I really like that articulated cross guard. I wonder how functional that thing is? I’ve never really been a fan of switchblades or OTF‘s. At least that one’s a proper switchblade!
