You need to do The Stories We Tell Ourselves. It’s their biggest album, nominated for a Grammy! Insane album! You’d love it!

Wait til you recognize that the “Keep Holding On” outro on “God Went North” was a heartbeat… This is easily the most complete album I’ve ever experienced and took them something like 4 years to complete. EVERY single sonic space is filled through the full 1hr+. It was self released in 2013(they gave me an advance 3-song demo when my band played a few shows with them) but it was then re-released in 2014 under new record label. My assumption is that this is why this album didn’t get/wasn’t eligible for a Grammy nomination but was easily the most deserving. Perhaps “Carnal” will finally get them the Grammy they deserve after 3 nominations in 2017. Thanks for doing these and I’ll look for some more full album reactions from you. Appreciate your time and content!

God Went North hits HARD, one day I was listening to it while just laid on my bed with my eyes closed, worst mistake of my life 😂

I watched another reaction to God Went North and the guy pointed out something I didn't even think of: that his voice and music progressively gets louder as the song goes on out of his desperation for his mother's suffering to end. I loved the song before, but could appreciate the technicality and emotion even more after that. The song means a lot to me, as I found it when one of my fur babies became terminally ill with a rare blood disease - I could see her desparation to want to live, but there was nothing we could do - it all happened so quickly and she went into full renal failure. "Tightly she holds, but the plan still unfolds" is without a doubt a line that I wholely feel and cry to every single time 🙃

Hey man, sorry I missed the stream! One cool thing about this album (and the one before it, "The Few Not Fleeting") is that Johnny Hawkins (their vocalist) actually recorded the drums in the studio. He actually used to only be the drummer of the band. They started with a different vocalist before "The Few Not Fleeting" with very little success. Seems like they've kind of removed everything prior to Johnny getting on vocals from their catalog, but just interesting that he never intended to be the vocalist of the band in the first place.

Always excited when a new Nothing More album is to hear the new music with Alan Watts. Love when musicians incorporate him into their songs. Some others that have done this off the top of my head are Our Last Night and Architects

The begining of Mr MTV is actually a call back to the Dire Straits song "Money For Nothing" Also I'm positive the video is older than 4 years old. The song was released in 2014 and I know it wasn't 6 years to film a video. Probably a reupload. XD

Also, the video is obviously older than 4 years because it has the drummer before Ben in it. If it was a late shoot the video would have the new drummer you'd think

MR. MTV was filmed in 2013 which is why its capped at 720p and randomly removed from youtube forcing them to find the video and reupload it a few years later

1:09:07 i was with my father in the hospital 2 weeks ago when he passed. He wanted to stay and beat his cancer so badly, but I held his hand and let him go with kind words as he met death with a smile.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve dealt with a lot of death in my life but thankfully still have my parents so I can only imagine what that’s like, dreading that when it’s time. Much love to you and your family 🖤

Fun fact- Christ Copyright is mostly about how the medics abuses and capitalizes on religion. Hence the main hook ‘they’ve for your Christ on copyright’

Most of the videos aren’t high quality because they aren’t uploaded by BNM or Nothing More. There was something that happened where the album needed to be re-released, leading to no official visualizers for most songs.

Sex and Lies, Take a Bullet and Surface Flames were all bonus tracks originally, as much as I love them the album is definitely stronger without them mucking up the flow.
