I hear you Kristel. I mostly focus free or very affordable resources on SimplyCyber, but this training was special and Recon Infosec is a great community member. Its not uncommon for businesses to fund prof dev for their security staff to keep them sharp. This training is perfect for those situations.

Just recently signed up for cyber range. Very impressive platform. Since I'm a newbie any recommendations on beginner friendly platforms? Sysmon modules for blue team is super challenging.

What are the best SOC basic side certificates to obtain in the begging of your career ? Sec+ obviously as a foundation,what are your advice about what to pick next ?

Cysa + I’ve heard is aligned with that path and is intended as an entry level cert. spend cycles on blue cyber ranges too. Rangeforce, cyberdecenders, blue team labs online to name a few

It is expensive but a fair value for the experience. This is one of those situations where you try to leverage professional development dollars from employer (at least how I would try to fund it)

Did they provide textbook or recording after class? Or VM/setup to train after the class?

There was not any materials that I received afterward. I did have a lot of Notes I took personally both on tools I used and resources I used.

I mean I'm Sure the Training ist good but its such a gatekeep for passionate people who cant pay 2500 for 2 days. Its a shame this Is so expensive and Out of a Lot of people who would Love to switch into this career

I agree it is pricey. There are many many options though at free or low cost. Cyber defenders, blue team labs online, Rangeforce to name a few. This training is best for soc analysts looking to level up , less learning about soc analysis brand mew
