Like Ryan said, if you have an excavator or want to get one, you have to have a thumb. If you find a machine without one, they make a bucket that has an integrated thumb in it called a KryptoKlaw. We have one and use it often on a 135G John Deere and it's great.

Should of used electric jack hammer and used the skid to remove the slabs of Crete with a chain. Started in the rear so dirt would be an issue removing the backside of the property

I’m a heavy equipment operator who runs boom concrete pumps and idk why someone would have re bar in their drive way I’ve seen chicken wire but I’m also on the east coast !

Wire mesh is the absolute worst. Most of it ends up on the ground when you’re pouring and not in the center of the concrete. It’s also miserable when breaking out. Rebar will help prevent the concrete from lifting into a step like the roots did to the driveway

Making me miss my old job all I did was residential demo and load my dump truck and take to dump knock a bunch of concrete out and then finishers would roll through frame it up and pour same day or next day. Shit sucked in az though lol
