There's already video clips of Hanyu's practice with new program. SP: Let Me Entertain You (chor. Jeffrey Buttle) FS: Ten to Ji To (天と地と) or Heaven and Earth (chor. Shae Lynn Borne) No drastic change in his program layout. And I feel like this will be his programs for Olympics 2022. (Edited now after Men’s SP) During Hanyu’s interview before the start of the of the Japan Nationals, he knows already that he cannot do his program perfectly and he cannot simply input his other difficult elements as he practiced on his own. But he still wants to give his best for Japan Nationals. After SP (with 0 score on CSSpin): He knows that he made mistakes in his program and will just improve it the next time. It seemed that the whole no-coaching team with him during pandemic affected his training greatly. And most of his time was spent then to finish his thesis.

She believed her own hype supported by the fact that she experienced inflation until there was no one to challenge her until Alina Zagitova who was infinitely more talented than her seriously inelegant FORCED JUMPS. But David and Jonathan already mentioned it. She has become a caricature of herself. Her drama and entitlement is crazy. Glad that she wasn’t undeservedly crowned at the Olympics. Timestamps: 0:00 Intro 1:07 Dave clarifying what he said last week about the Zhenya Medvedeva thing. Perhaps using Zhenya as a tool rather than trying to help her out. They probably only care about her bc of her fame rather than her chances for the Beijing Olympics. I love Zhenya and she is a fighter. Should have stayed with Brian. Like Ashley Wagner. I hope for a resurgence from her. I love her Alegria, very great program. I personally do not like Eteri and what she does. She does get the results though. As Dave mentioned From what I read on Twitter now Alina Kostornaia will not be competing at the Russian Nationals. Not sure if She and Evgenia will want to do the Russian Cup final in a few months. I think that the Final would be their last chance (especially for Zhenya) to qualify for the only isu event happening lol which is Worlds (which they will probably cancel anyway) like literally everything else in this world, lol. The season felt very empty. And now there is no Winter Universiade or Europeans and Four Continents 4:35 Eteri, what is happening, she has the results and all the accolades. She gets the medals but after that its like what else. Look at her former students. 18:40 Russia Ban from the Olympics. I think Russians think of their own swear words as more real, and the English ones can be used however they see fit. There's a culture involved of how to use, who is saying them, who you can say them around, etc. It's very structured and I never got the full "rules" so I never tried saying them because I know it would be offensive (especially coming from a woman, because that's still a thing, apparently?) However, we (and they) are free to f-word all over the place. 🤣

Couple of things I am excited about this week: - Russian nationals: men definitely Kolyada. That FS is sublime, I saw an interview saying that he planned to add 4Lz and 4S for the last Russian stage but you know what happened with that. Assuming that he is able to come back to training after getting sick, who knows how much effect that Covid did to his body and time lost because he couldn't train would deter his conditioning (well conditioning is important after all, and Rus Nats is basically the peak where he must perform to his best this season). Ladies event not so much, it would be a cutthroat event for sure but I've lost interest for Russian ladies this season because no programs really caught my attention and the 3A are now not in their peak conditions. Pairs would also be a good competition, I've grown to like Mishina/ Galiamov and several other Russian pair skaters. Dance... well I could skip the event and I bet I wouldn't be too sad watching the replays. - Japanese nationals: men event, I am excited for Hanyu's new programs as well as Uno and Kagiyama performances. Ladies event is so much more interesting though, I want to see Kihira's new programs as well as watching Sakamoto and Higuchi. A lot of other skaters such as Miyahara, Matsuike are to watch as well. Definitely the event that I have to watch from the start. Dance just to watch Daisuke lol. Since several events between Rusian nats and Japanese nats overlap, we really need to decide which one to watch. Nevertheless it's going to be a fun week.

A lot of the hardcore fanyus call you guys T*L because they don't get your humour and think you're so mean they treat your show's name like a swear word . I've always found you to be funny and I've always admired how much you truly love this sport. It's obvious to anyone who actually listens to what you have to say that you want the best out of and for every skater, even the ones you're not exactly fond of. Anyone who got upset about the Zhenya/DannyG stuff last time is either entirely oblivious or just wants to be offended on behalf of Zhenya (who I think would probably have had a laugh herself anyway). It was pretty obvious that you were poking fun at how ridiculous the Russian drama has been and at that Eteri isn't kidding anyone by acting like she just took Zhenya back as a kindness. You don't need to explain yourself to those people. Have a happy Russian and Japanese nationals and Christmas!

I miss seeing Samsonov ,,,,he was becoming a favourite of mine. Hopefully, he will be back ! Russian Nationals will be a great competition ! As far as Japan goes, I’m anxious to see Shoma Uno, Kagiyama and Rika, not to mention Daiskue Takahashi ,,,,but I expect the same old same old programs from Hanyu.,,,my interest in him has waned quite a bit. In Canada, Sadovsky, and a few other men I’m anxious to see, Piper and Paul I’m anxious to see, but the Ladies , as almost always, and Pairs will probably be a sad state of affairs.

what the Spiquiatrists define PERSONALITY DISORDER or LIMIT PERSONALITY, is very evident in you; but you know that. However, I think you are not aware of this and it is also very evident in you two David and Jonathan: And what are the origins and causes of envy? For now, its origin must be located in the experiences of the child in early childhood. Some psychoanalysts like M. Klein (1957) consider that envy has its roots in the first object of importance for the child: his mother. The child distinguishes between the "good breast" when his mother suckles him and satisfies his desire for hunger, and the "bad breast", when his mother frustrates his desire to be satisfied; this being universal and relatively dependent on the care provided by the mother. In fact, other authors have insisted even more on the role of the child's first experiences of frustration (Ferenczi, 1913; Rank, 1924). The Spanish psychoanalyst Guerra Cid (2004, 2006) affirms that in the personal history of those who suffer from envy an intense frustration appears that increases when the other has what he wants. That desire, except in people with a simpler mentality, is not usually for the material things that the other possesses, but rather for their qualities that allow them to have admiration and material goods. The great envious person usually wishes, fantasizes and even carries out actions of damage or destruction directed at the envied. He is a bitter being unable to accept his limitations, to which the traditional saying of "Tell me you envy and I will tell you what you lack" should be applied. The person with envy usually uses a curious "rationalization" to maintain his state of envy: he argues that he has had bad luck in his life and that the envied, on the contrary, has been graced by good luck. If you look slowly at the life of the envious, experiences of multiple failures in your love, work and social life are often frequent; and not precisely because of bad luck but because they do not have many variables of reality to make their decisions, precisely because of their low tolerance for frustration and their desire to have the maximum satisfaction in the most immediate term. From this point of view, “healthy envy” does not exist, there is only one and it is “pathological”. The sickness of envy has been considered even in the Tomasian scholastic tradition. According to the Thomistic psychologist Martin Echevarria (2005), envy is a sick or vicious form of disordered sadness that derives from the pride of always wanting to have more and of possessing everything; and that it would have two causes (following the aquinate): an intellectual or cognitive one (ignorance of one's own limits and qualities) and an affective one (the fear of failing in what is considered to be beyond one's abilities). Also in many cases true family traditions of envious are added that educate the child in resentment towards the envied. If in that family and even school environment, it is very important to compare the child with the qualities of another, envy will be served and the damage to the child will be done. Ad by Valueimpression But without a doubt, one of the psychologists and psychiatrists who have studied envy the most has been Alfred Adler. For him, envy is configured in a childlike family atmosphere where competitiveness prevails and where rivalry between siblings is frequent. Older and younger children are often the most vulnerable to envy in this context. The older brother because he has been “the only” object of privilege and attention, and now he is “dethroned from his reign” by the arrival of another little brother with whom he rivals; and he can resort to "tricks" such as "being very bad now", "wetting himself" and other conscious and unconscious stratagems to regain the throne of lost care and affection. Also the minor because he is usually the object of excessive pampering and protection that when he leaves the usual family environment he has to face a ruthless, difficult and frustrating world. And, finally, we could speak of envy not only as affection, but as a form of behavior, and even as a way of conducting oneself through life that not only has its "causes", but also its effects, consequences or finalist functions " (Marino Perez, 2004). Envy, from this perspective, fulfills a social role related to the “regulation function of power”. It would be necessary to distinguish here between a "mimetic envy" where not only is the object of desire important for the envious himself; rather, the object of desire is even more desirable the more it is desired by others. The function here is to orient the objects that are desirable and valuable according to the society of the moment in question. In the consumer society, these objects of desire are "continually created" without referring to real needs, and have a clear exponent in the media and advertising. Ad by Valueimpression And, on the other hand, there would be “malefic envy” where you want the other to lose what they have without having to have it yourself. In this case, envy is closely related to social comparisons with others where the "lowering of the other" fulfills the function or purpose of the statement itself; operating in a kind of equilibrium both real and imaginary. The fact is that both forms of envy can coexist in the same person and society. There are even those who "provoke" envy in others by "showing off" material goods or qualities as a way of feeling superior to the envious. In short, affirms Marino Pérez (2004), for envy to occur there must be a series of antecedent causes: they include the presence of desired objects that belong to others, inequalities that make evident the inferiority of others almost always close and / or the insatiable desire for equality in democratic societies; and a series of consequences or functions: directing to desirable social consumption objects, real or imaginary balance of one's own inferiority and / or feeling of superiority over the other.
