I ate in mayuri 1989 in Rajajinagar. It was excellent meals when I had it 3 years back. It's nellore style. I think this is their second branch.

When we were in university, we had been to Mayuri in Madiwala(not sure if its their branch itself). I have tried meals in other Andhra restaurants but somehow Mayuri's meal flavor stood out. Brought back those memories.

Ohhh Sir, mere mention of Neeladri Nagar , brings back so much memories in just 5 yrs Neeladri Rd got best of Brands & eatries. Village Restaurant & one Mithai Sweet Shop opposite lane of Ajmera & Ganga Vertica started by IT professional serves best indian sweets & Namkeens. There is one Taaza Thindi that also does Roaring business.

The title “Andhra Bhojanam” brings a smile on my face 😀 It’s a cuisine that I love & relish 💯 Let’s dive into your vlog .. So the restaurant in play is is Mayuri 👌 Wow - lovely & spacious ambience 👍 Hello to Umesh & Deepti 👋👋 Cool it’s the second generation & love their aspirations . Glad that prefer to maintain the core ethos of the restaurant & also tweak it a bit to cater to an eclectic customer base . My best wishes to them 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Awesome & it’s a kitchen tour ; very well organised - clean & hygiene focussed . That was a quick tour 👌 Their menu is quite diverse . Time to place an order and good that you have decided to the classics. I am yet to find an authentic Andhra restaurant in Mumbai . Whoa that’s a visual gastronomic treat for a foodie like me . I can travel places just to savour a bite of Paruppu Podi smothered on a decent quantum of piping hot rice . Sheer bliss & salivating as I am typing this comment 😋 I also love a mix of Paruppu podi & some Ellu podi rice 💯 The curry leaf podi rice is also a brilliant combination 👌 Time to introduce the warm akura Pappu to the rice . It’s a nutritious leafy dal . Happy that was the pleasing dal rice and beans Palya made a good combo and further elevated by a fiery & piquant chutney 🔥 Andhra meals is definitely synonymous with a “fiery fare” 😅You still haven’t taken off your hat and that’s good 😅 Finally time to meet & greet some V & NV sides . So we have the broccoli dish marinated with a coriander paste , followed by an Indo-Sino Chilly Chicken ( love the colour & texture ) . Kudos to Poornima for her dexterity in serving you a “Bisi Bisi Annam” . I agree with you that a SI meal is something that one can never get tired / bored of . It varies from restaurant to restaurant & place to place . That’s the beauty of our diversity 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Embracing & accepting subtle changes / evolution in dishes say in this case the colour of the CC is something we need to be flexible with . Only then can we truly relish the cuisine on a wholesome perspective. That’s a unique combo of the CC with Pappu & rice 👌 I love the Majjiga Charu / Pulusu . It’s sour , tangy & spicy - a yoghurt lovers delight . Glad you relished it . The seasoning & tempering further elevates the dish . Next is the MMP and the meat was a tad chewy . Lemon rice can never go wrong . Mulangi Sambhar rice is another awesome dish & you could have add it with some Papad . However knowing your combo you love to have the Rasam Rice with Papadam. It’s your favourite- Biryani time ; as expected you started with a CB and the meat is quite tender . I agree the heart of a Biryani is the rice and how it embraces the flavours and translate that into a delectable bite 😋👌 I prefer a plain raita to go with an aromatic Biryani . The passion in your voice said it all when your favourite MB made its way in a grand style on your plantain leaf 😀 Looks like the Mutton meat in both the dishes ; the MMP & MB were a tad chewy . Loved your candid review on the Biryani. Nothing to beat a curd rice and well complimented by a piquant gongura chutney . It’s a golden bite indeed 💯 Thoroughly enjoyed this GOTR vlog of an authentic Andhra Bhojanam at Mayuri ( loved their logo ) It’s a must try place for sure .
