I forgot just how badly Opening 4 hits me. I was fine and enjoying watching the reaction until the chorus hit and then it all came rushing back and I just started crying. Assassination Classroom was a beautifully fun ride throughout and definitely holds a very high rating of best animes of all time.

Personally, something I love about the last opening is that each episode shows you the countdown to the end by having the date until graduation on the board, putting you on the nerves about how close it is to climax. And about the "final season" thing might be a mistralation of "final cour" as each season is technically separated in 2 parts, the openings clearly doing the separation of each cour

Yeah, that countdown at the board is my favourite part of OP4 and it makes me very sad 😢

I think it is the most emotonally charged opening. The feeling of "This is it, this is the end" that it leaves you with is enormous. When it first came out, I was on my last year before uni. And it really hit me beacause it was the end of being a child, my first steps into adulthood and bigger responsibilities. My world as I knew it really was just... ending. It's so bittersweet.

In the last OP "Bye Bye Yesterday", in each episode it shows in the blackboard "__ Days Till Koro Sensei's Death-Line" it keeps decreasing in every episode till the end of the anime, which breaks my heart every time.

Man I read this manga and then watched this anime back when I was like 15, about 7 years ago. I watch reactions to be able to experience things vicariously, and your reaction throughout all these ops and until bye bye yesterday is so relatable to me. I just love to be able to dive again into these feelings, reminds me of the time I watched Angel Beats or Charlotte for the first time as well.

Bye, bye Yesterday always hits like a truck. As far as openings go, Assassination Classroom has some the best openings just on the foreshadowing and tie-in it has with the season it is showing. These openings do a great job of setting everything up, not many do that.

Watching Opening 4 hits even harder when you watch it during each episode because the "Days until Koro Sensei's Deadline" countdown each episode until the finale, and it breaks your heart knowing how close to the end you're getting. Which makes the finale hurt even more.

The concept of the ending is just like the usual Graduation story, but you just have this PERFECT TEACHER once in a lifetime. If the ending is not what it is, the students will never have that huge development and always seeking more guidance.

Ah, yes, Bye bye yesterday... This opening never fails to tear me up :') I don't even exactly feel sad when seeing it and remembering the first time I watched it. I started watching anime in the middle of first season being released and manga back then wasn't finished either, if I recall correctly, I remember eagerly waiting for new chapters. And the timing was so right, that I was finishing the 9th grade preparing for final exams to then go to college, so it really hits me. I just feel so empty inside when listening to/watching this opening.

I watched Assassination Classroom live when it aired. (The second season, at least). But I also read the manga before and knew what was coming. That, paired with the fact that my own school time was ending when the second season was finishing, made that last opening hit me REAL hard. Especially because I was one of the few people who GENUINELY LOVED their school days. Especially the final years. So that final opening worked double as hard for me. As I also knew fully well, that from now one, many of the pals I liked to have occasional, loose laughs with during my final years there, I would likely drift away from now. Along with the fact that the harsh business world was stretching out its clutches, and other parts about my school time I actually really loved would be gone too.

the idea of bloodlust being something you can feel or sense is more of an east asian thing in general, you see it all the time in even korean and chinese works too im not sure why this is a thing but it could likely stem from religious context since prominent east asian religion such as buddhism, taoism, confucianism and shintoism place a greater emphasis on the aspects of the profound or spiritual self and enlightenment too so concepts like being able to feel or sense that which is incorporate such as bloodlust just fits right in its definitely a foreign concept in the west and can be misunderstood since when younger ive seen western fanfiction of works such as naruto, bleach, dbz and things such as bloodlust is practically always taken too far to the point its not even an incorporate concept anymore but a literal energy of sorts with its own unique properties and attributes that is wielded as lethal force to be shot or thrown out whenever and wherever and at that point its just very cringe you can think of it as a sort of universal 6th sense or so if that makes more sense to you like spiderman’s spidey senses for example

I'm glad you enjoyed the series so much Luke. I also agree that this is a perfect ending for this anime imo. I've seen a fair amount of anime, but this remains my favourite well done ending to this day. Loved re-experiencing it through your watch. Which honestly didn't expect you to rereact to these openings so soon, I was waiting to also suggest you possibly check out official covers of some of the songs from the series covered by some of the voice actors. I'll take the opportunity to suggest them here though, even if you don't do videos on them, if you see this, highly recommend you check them out even on your own, they're very good. Hello Shooting Star (ED 1) done by Nagisa's va: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2q8qGWhgKt7bqM Bye Bye Yesterday (OP 4) done by Terasaka gang (Itona's va + Terasaka's group): kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6bNnKuinsSbb5Y

This series was absolutely wrapped up perfectly. I've seen quite a lot of anime in my life, and this is one of the few series that left a lasting impact on me because of the ending. I remember people hating the series for some reason not long after it was out and I myself never understood why, since it was one of the better ones I ever watched when it comes to premise, overall structure, and the ending. I loved the characters a lot as well. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

Anime, manga, comic books, etc…are a very exaggerated medium at times due to the freedom the medium allows for. So when you have someone being intimidating, you can show what the characters are feeling without it feeling uncanny. In live action, it’s the actors performances that conveys the feeling; and for written stories, it’s based on how well the writer can describe the feeling.

Even the way the songs are sung changes in season 2. Season one they were singing in parts, individually, taking turns. Season 2 there's more unison, symbolizing their change in mentality, both as working together and as the seriousness of the situation begins to loom, that they don't have the time for the individualistic approach to things they did in season 1.

Appreciate the way you are honest with the up and downs, how you like the final but overall choose the first season, I hope theres not much hate when you talk about that. Personally I just like the story and the build up, not really the whole seasons, the same you said it some parts were not it for me, BUT I do loved how every character got participation, how they learned progressively, how the secrets were unveiling, it wouldn't be as hard and as memorable if there was not enough story, silliness and downs, overall a great experience (I liked endings better)

This is my favorite anime of all time I've watched it subbed and dubbed probably 10 times each (as an anime that I like with a good dub that's shot enough I'll switch between the sub and dub on rewatches) also I love season 1 but season 2 is just better and the transition from a comedy with serious story arcs to a show with serious story arcs mostly that is also a comedy it's funny the characters are great the ending is perfect in fact so far there are only one endings I prefer more Code Geass with some honorable mentions to Cowboy Bebop and Gravity Falls I'll never forget this show because I'll keep rewarding the anime and rereading the manga favorite anime and 3rd favorite manga after One Piece and Berserk's manga

Its a shame you don't watch the OPs or EDs when watching the show (understandable for streaming give copyright reasons) as I consider them to be integral to the expereince of any given episode watched week to week, or once at the start of a batch of binged episodes). They can set the tone for the series, to get you ready to watch, or when they change Ops or EDs set the tone for that season or current story arc. The way you've been doing does make for a nice video premise though.
