This Automatic Lego Turret Has AIMBOT

This Lego Turret can AUTOMATICALLY AIM at targets, using a PHONE camera, OBJECT DETECTION and Mindstorms.
Written in python using ev3dev and the opencv and ev3_dc library.

That is actually a great idea! I do have two motors left to make a tank, so that's actually a good Idea! I am going to think about if it isn't repetitive to build it into a tank after this. The people that watched this video already know what it does after all.

I just realised... I ended up using usb, because bluetooth just didn't work, so a tank wouldn't really work since it would only be able to go as far as the cable can reach. But: maybe (quite possibly) I'm going to build a V2 in the future and I would try to make it wireless. Then it would work with a tank!

That 2nd to last song was great! Loved the video, and I hope you make the videos twice as long in the future since there's so much interesting nerd engineering BTS stuff you could unpack!

Thanks! I was a little dissapointed with the length of the video, but I always look at what I want to say in the video and don't want to stretch it just to get more time. I prefer quality and pacing over length. With my last video, I did more segments, but that just made the video too repetitive in my opinion (and the graph says the same).

I really love this machine! It’s super cool how you get straight into it, but it’s now missing a bit of structure, keep it straightforward I reckon. Otherwise I was super engaged, great job!!

Hi my friends please i want to know what mathematical function did you use for the detection and orientation of the turret and the gun towards the target?

Shall I tell you a secret: 1:39 I didn't calculate the aiming, I just tweaked the numbers until it hit it *almost* every time, which worked as well. When it detects a target, it moves till the center of the target is on pixel(340 , 275). This works because the target isn't very far away. Calculating it wouldn't even make sense, because lego isn't really acurate and the dart could wiggle and go out of it's trajectory.
