Thank you for sharing your experiences on the lake I’ve grown so much in knowledge and awareness by watching your day on the lake. I take in the good and the bad the emotions struggles and the satisfactions from every catch. There are only a few anglers that give us a real time look at what goes on before during and after a tournament which I appreciate so much and thank you for sharing it with us. I’m so caught up when you have that bass on the hook bringing it in rooting you on and when you lose one it really affects us as well. Thank you again great job on the lake you never gave up I have so much respect for an angler who fishes to the very last second to try and get I’ve more big bite. It’s a great learning moment for those who want to lessen the right way the first time. I don’t know what you’re lifetime goals are in the bass world but i enjoy you hear in the kayak level ABs hopefully I’ll meet you and fish along side you, but if you make that step to the boat level you’re going to do very well there as well so my best to you Bailey always enjoy your videos so much in 52 years old and look forward to learning and watching you. You have a friend angler fan for life take care God bless!

Not sure how you're missing them on the fluke unless the drag is a bit loose. But there are other ways to rig the fluke. You could nose hook it with aweedless/wire guard hook also. Thanks for the video. I always enjoy them

Flukes are known for a bad hookup ratio. My problem I figured out was that I was setting the hook too hard, need to just reel into em

good showing! i hate you lost the one you tried to boat flip. that would've made a huge difference. good job again

It happens, man. Part of not! I appreciate it.

Use an offset worm hook for your flukes. Much better hook up ratio. But you go through a lot of baits.

Good to know, thanks!!

@@BEtheFish no problem. With EWG if you don’t tune the hook you don’t get penetration when fish bites. It pushes the hook point up but hook point is flat so you only penetrate when you set hook. With offset worm hook the point is pointed up. So when fish bites it penetrates and when you set hook it just goes deeper. If that makes sense.

You know you horsed that swimbait fish. That said, you were heading towards the dock. That other bass that hit by the boat was a tough one too!. The Outback cost you! Great vid!

Haha you’re not wrong! Definitely missed the PA but had fun in the Outback. Always room for improvement!

One thing i learned from probably one of the best fluke fisherman emil wagner he talks about throwinf a fluke on lake hartwell and lake lanier a lot and he said to just reel reel and he also will run an offset worm hook. I have been throwing a floating worm a lot of it had the same problem what u were talking about but i have not lost one yet from just reeling and reeling snx use your rod
@BEtheFish6 ай бұрын
Yeah! He talked about that exact thing on my podcast, Serious Angler

I like a 3/0 hook, I find the smaller and thinner the better hook set ratio and penetration
