Have you seen Hanabie? They are an all girl Japanese metalcore band. They started as a Maximum the Hormone cover band. They've been together since middle school. Pick any song it doesn't matter they always bring it. Hanabie had their debut album in 2021 and are having their first world tour this year. They are booked for Aftershock

@@moshpitreactions Oh yeah, Hanabie - 花冷え - are fire!!! I recommend starting with "We love Sweets". Then check out any of Reiwa Dating Generation, Envy, L.C.G, Pardon me I have to go now, NEET Game........ And absolutely check out their cover of Ado's "踊". Think metal reworking of a pretty unique sounding anime song. Hanabie have Midas fingers, everything they touch is gold. I've seen them live twice, and holy shit do they do a good live show. Good Maximum the Hormone recommendations already, I'd just add to make sure to check out "Koi no Sperm", it's different but awesome. Lots of Nao singing (she's the drummer, her voice and range of styles is awesome, she's a beast).

Not only is NAO-san the drummer, she is the founder of MAXIMUM THE HOREMONE, and the guitarist, MAXIMUM THE RYOKUN, is her little brother. All the lyrics are displayed right there in the video. The part you asked about is “丼に, 丼に” (“donburi ni, donburi ni”): in a bowl, in a bowl.

Ok, so, I understand some Japanese, and I can confirm what someone else has commented, most Japanese speakers also don't understand much of what MtH sing, and some of it is in a made up meta language, as far as I know. With that being said, the part you got stuck on is basically DONBURI (丼) NI on repeat, with donburi being one of the most delicious Japanese meals, basically meat, eggs, and broth on rice. ;-) Yoshu Fukushu and A.L.I.E.N. should be your next two songs from them, and yes, it's only getting crazier from here on...

Welcome to the wonderfully weird world of M.T.H. , don't get to hung up on lyrics as most Japanese fans can't understand a lot of what's going on. Just enjoy the ride. Do expect the use of multiple genres including pop, punk, funk, hardcore, reggae, ska, and many more. Check out the song Yoshu Fukushu.

Another band I love to watch first reactions to! They will keep surprising you and think differently about genres. Some people in the comments already tried to answer your question but they focused only on the 丼に part that Ryouko is singing at the beginning. But there is another where he switches between ガブリ味 (gaburi flavour) and ドングリに (on acorns, which is in itself a word play that includes an idiom). You can actually make that sound using a lot of three syllable words in Japanese. And they play with that by throwing in English (and Japanese) endings to each line that sound very similar. The entire song is a massive play on words that hides the words and their meaning under a rhythmic pattern that can simulate chewing or running/hunting. No matter what you eat, the act of eating is repetitive and consuming. I keep requesting the saucy stuff so why break with that? A double reaction to "my girl" and "koi no sperm" would be truly hilarious. They are two sides of the same coin. Maximum the Hormone rule 😄 Honestly, one of the coolest live bands in the world but from this day on I will fear for your channel 😅. I just read about another channel nearing 100.000 subscribers who was shut down due to some reactions they did to the band months/years ago. You can find almost their entire discography on Spotify now but the "newer" songs are still missing or only available in radio edit versions (unlistenable...). Can't in good conscious recommend putting them on KZbin but maybe for a future stream or just in your own time: "A.L.I.E.N." is a banger and if you want a really fun time try "Chu Chu Lovely MuniMuni MuraMura PrinPrin Boron Nururu ReroRero" there you also have the lyrics in the title for better sing along education😂 "Mr. BoogyTamblingman" is another one of their rarely mentioned songs that I simply love. Always gives me the feeling of having a fantastic time. Hard to feel down if you're listening to Maximum the Hormone (although their lyrics are surprisingly deep and multi-layered)
