This S-max was based on the european Ford Mondeo (Ford EUCD platform/ Volvo P3 platform) (before the final generation that was also the Ford Fusion in the USA market). The platform was also used by Jaguar on the freelander 2, and Volvo on the P3 platform. Its neither a minivan or a SUV its correct designation is a an MPV. (Ford also describes the S-Max as an SAV (sports activity vehicle)).

Looks like a cross between the Ford Escape Titanium and the Ford Transit van. Pretty cool. The rims almost look identical to the titanium ones. My mom had a Ford Edge titanium and the rims look almost dentical. Over 300 configurations is crazy.

You are somewhat incorrect, the front half and entire dash looks almost exactly like my 2015 Ford Focus which I currently own, the only difference seems to be the ride height.

Aka a minivan😂 It's actually identical to the Ford Galaxy up to the B-Pillar, everything back from there is a little more sleek than in the Galaxy

@pe8268 actually you are wrong I just looked up the galaxy and this vehicle doesn't have the large side marker lights also it has different shaped headlights so no it's not identical to the Ford Galaxy

I've had an S-Max for over 10 years now. Gotta tell you, it's a monstrosity of a car. High build quality, super spacious and comfortable (you can fit an adult in all 7 seats and it's still comfortable), has a huge trunk, has a very durable and fuel efficient 2.0 TDCI diesel, has ok performance, is both an elegant car and a tank at the same time. Best car ever.

Some facts abt the s-max. itc classed as an mpv or people carrier, st line is a sporty trim line, st is the actual sport, there was no st model, the fastest id the 240, the uk police variant is for dogs nor actual perps, we have peugeots and beemers for that

The ADAC is an german towing Company

ADAC is more like an association for technical aid. It stands for "General German Automobile Club" they help you when your car breaks down(including towing to a repair shop). If you are a member, their service is usually free of charge. They even have travel insurance if you get stranded outside of germany(worldwide). Also they actually use the s-max. its usually filled to the brim with tools and stuff one might need for emergency repairs. Source: me, I´m a member there and had to use the service like two times in my life already. It´s pretty useful and at roughly a 100,-€ per year not that expensive.

Because it literally has all the possible engine and trim level options with LHD/RHD and 5 seat/7 seat for all model years from 2015-2022, that's why. It's by far the most thorough mod I've seen

In Europe this car is considered as a minivan and most definitely not an suv. The fact that it doesn't have sliding doors doesn't mean anything. Toyota also used to offer a few minivans that didn't have sliding doors

ST-line is all of the trim but none of the power of the ST models, in Europe and the UK if it is followed by the word 'Line' it usually means cool styling and features but not the highest spec/performance engine.

American had the C-MAX; they look the same, but the S-MAX is larger. They sold both in Europe, but I think the S-MAX was probably a weird in-between size that would have taken sales away from the Edge, Freestyle, and Explorer, which are more profitable.

There ain't no way you just called this an SUV💀😂 The S-Max is about as Minivan as a Minivan gets, it just doesn't have the sliding doors that American Minivans usually have... It's the largely identical but slightly smaller brother to the legendary Ford Galaxy and the larger brother to the C-Max compact minivan. There's no trace of SUV in there but its production was cancelled without a replacement because of SUVs😢 I really like this mod but I wish there were some race parts available (primarily suspension) because my mid-7s drag version is bopping and swaying all over the place😂

The old one is faster probb this is v2 of the s max the old one before the facelift had a 5 cylinder engine en the facelift had a 2.0 ecoboost also pretty zippy with 240hp and tuned 280 in a mpv haha
