You know, you could put a fold up leg on the end of your table and use it for stability when the table is extended to fully or partially, but either way it would be hidden when you retracted the table for storage because it would fold up into the negative space under the table.
@EcceJack2 жыл бұрын
That was my thought exactly! It looks like her current arrangement is pretty stable, but I'm sure some future bending of the wood (and therefore potential difficulties in sliding the desk in and out) could be avoided with a fold-up leg
@Bulldog_Fishing2 жыл бұрын
@@EcceJack Agreed. However I did see some flex in the end when the table was extended to full length and that sparked the idea for a hide away leg in the end.
@natro422 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. just put a leg on a hinge attached underneath the table, it would basicly extend on its own when the table is pulled out far enough for flex to be a concern.
@RevdUp.Art.Fotografer2 жыл бұрын
I was certain it would have legs as well as a 'stop' bar (perpendicular to it's length) built into the internal end. As I'm writing this now I'm thinking no. Left the way it is it would be easier to modify if she so chooses. Geil! Making the top longer, geil! Building some little 'cubbies' for work/desk materials/light or plates/silverware, geil! Making it so it can be taken out entirely and used it somewhere else (folding legs on both ends), geil! OR DRUM ROLL PLEASE....All three in one - extra long, hidden compartment, completely transferable - Kampf Transforming Spy Table! GEIL!!!!

Yeah, it could hinge up into the cavity beneath the table and only be used when extra support was wanted. Neat suggestion.

There are rolling caster caddy things available for eurocrates (basically a plastic frame holding the crate with casters mounted to it) and it seems like they might fit height wise, so they might be worth considering for you. Although sliding eurocrates that aren't too loaded across the floor is fine in my experience, the casters do add convenience, especially if there's heavier stuff in the crates.

Hey Laura, you may want to ad a little thermometer in the corners in the crawl space. These corners can get really cold in a tiny house and because of the high humidity it can get moldy really really fast. When the temperature drops below 11 degrees you should ad ventilation or a little electric heating foil. I installed one behind my sofa because of that.
