Drag is a performance of gender! Drag artists don’t always identify with the gender expression they’re performing in their art, but sometimes they do and it clicks/makes sense and then end up transitioning or realizing they feel more like themselves in that gender. This isn’t a perfect analogy but think about actors who take on roles completely different from themselves: they still enjoy the art and performance of it even if they don’t identify with that role 100%

I see it as having a realized character you can become that is an enhanced exaggerated version of whatever creative vision you have. This vision can be in line with your gender or not. For many, it helps uncover gender euphoria because we're able to physically see the shift in how you may be perceived. Not just for men, anyone of any gender can do drag and project as any gender~ 🥰
