Dude I just played against this deck like 10 minutes ago and I shang chid opponents destroyer and all they had on board was a venom. I figured it was a typical destroy deck so I snapped cause I thought there’s no way they come back with only 3 power and then boom I lose to the most random ass Ultron I’ve ever been hit with it

29:24 playing Destroyer into Knull + Vibranium would give you 27+16+4+4 = 51, and since X-23 and Vibranium are both 4 power, that’s one less Sage target, so they would have 8 less power, leaving 48, so you would have won.

I think playing around Shang-chi is still a better bet than playing around Ironman Mystique (You didn't say that Regis should have made the other play and the math is always worth doing but I thought it worth mentioning).

@@aidanmillow566 A Mr. Negative deck is more likely to have Iron Man stuff than Shang though. You could guess it was a Negative deck by the avatar and the Ravonna. The card they played left was probably Mr. Negative, he said it was weird that they didn't play into Kiln but didn't think about why: because -1 power would have flipped the lane against them. Obviously it's a lot easier for me to say that with hindsight and infinite time to think, but I think going as tall as possible would have been the correct play, if he had figured that out.

@@mizzle2501 I don't think it was a Mr. Negative deck, it was probably a Tribunal. With either Onslaught or Tribunal played on turn 4, or even Magik. You are right though, he should of realised what kind of deck he was up against.

I played this list after seeing this last night for a while. It’s definitely not a gimmick. Went 12-4 in ladder up a ton of cubes and won an infinity ticket. Took it to the third round of gold two times as well but lost there. People love to snap at you thinking you just have a bad destroy deck hand or that you screwed up playing Ultron early.

At 12:00 the other reason KM-Death was a good play is that if your opponent attempted to just play into Zemo directly, now one of their cards flips over to you. With Ultron, your lane is filled and you can’t get a card from them, and they would keep it on their end.

With that game that came down to either death or destroyer into knull, something you don't seem to be accounting for is that the only difference in power would be the 3 points between death and knull, you play destroyer and add the two cards to knull, or you play the death, those cards stay and the power is only affected by the turn 5 card

I think Destroyer was probably correct but ironically, you should have been able to play Blink at the end there. I didn't hear you consider it but Galactus would have rolled into Death. That's only +14 power when Destroyer is 16 + the kills for Knull, though.

29:33 I think you would’ve won the sage game bc the destroyer would’ve gave 16 + 27 + 2(from x-23) = 45 power to the 8 * 4 = 32 power. The sage would only have 4 unique numbers thus giving itself plus 8 instead of 12.

X-23 was 4 power from Wakandan Embassy, and he got a Vibranium off the top for 51 total power, and you forgot their Iron Man was 2 power from Embassy too, plus the 10 power Sage (since X-23 and Vibranium are both 4) times 4 for 48 power. So he would have won, but there would be more power on both sides.

I get the idea of the deck being the big bads, and actually a solid brew, but if I was to play this seriously probably would toss galactus for magneto or red hulk. Just seems like a bad pull off blink in more cases where he’s worth playing realistically. Such a cool deck though
