This bike is Crown Vic/Taurus Interceptor of bicycle world. Not really top of the line MTB downhill track material but is built decent with features familiar to commuters. Also overbiked by cops in most times (they slowly crawl on these 99% of time instead of pursuit 😅). I'd bet this bike would be blast for long distance touring.

Interesting, indeed. As it happens, I had the guy involved with my local Sheriff's Office bike squad at my house yesterday. They ride Specialized Rockhoppers. They are getting them power coated into Department colors and were having trouble getting the BBs out. I had an extra BB tool. They're good to go now.

Funny thing about that video, she changed her mind before we ever got to use the bike. Ended up going back to the bike shop and swapping it out for a Trek Roscoe. Maybe we will do a ride video together, but I know that's not exactly her cup of tea. Being in the video that I put out was a stretch to begin with.

Now that they’re called “service bikes” instead of “Police Bikes” they’re not as evil so Trek will still be able to sell them to PD’s. Maybe Fuji should have gone that route as well instead of bending to the outrage mob?
