The video thumbnail alone is what I'd like to watch animated 🤩 Tokinada facing off against Zaraki reminds me of Oberyn vs Gregor Clegane: Zaraki with "Nozarashi" on his back, bearing down on them: Hikone: "You're gonna fight that?" Tokinada: "I'm going to kill that".

Zaraki clenched his teeth at how Grimmjow made the first move at Ikomikidomoe. The really spicy fight was Kyoraku vs Tokinada.

Tokinada's death was riddled with irony. He wished to be feared and infamous as a conqueror yet his end has been reduced to a footnote, mere noble feuding. He wanted more power yet was slain by a faceless, powerless nobody whom we don't even know and likely never will since she's supposed to be an assassin meant to be in the shadows. Then finally he killed wantonly and remorselessly laughing all the way while his slayer had the opposite reaction, trembling with fear and then horror at the bloody scene. Him laughing maniacally as he expired sums him up.

I loved how he used multiple zampakto abilities giving them a shine in the spotlight especially those who didn’t get much time in the show. Fullbring Bankai Ichigo, True Shikai Ichigo or which one? I really don't believe it was as strong as True Bankai Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho. The Hell Arc is looking to be the craziest, biggest shitshow yet. I'm especially excited for two possible scenarios: -The Nobles' involvement, with Ichibei as their attack dog, to re-establish the status quo. At any cost. -Juha Bach freeing himself from death again, and ,eventually, managing to unify the three worlds into one; which ends up working in favor of the shinigami, ironically. (Maybe, because of Hell itself, or its inhabitants, disrupting the balance of souls by themselves. Like the quincies did at the beginning of the war, but to a bigger, more dangerous degree.)

I honestly don't see him or any of the zero division being an antagonist. He's essentially an embodiment of balance. He's the one that's willing to do anything in the name of the balance, be that something that we see as good or bad. He doesn't see anything like that, it's just doing what is necessary in order to keep the worlds in existence. That being said, they likely won't be on the good side but I don't see any of them truly being an antagonist.

I personally think that Ichibe did not intervene earlier because he believes that everyone should develop their strenght and considered that fight as a form of training. In fact, he might be so powerful that he decided to only act when it is absolutely necessary as he appearing and solving every problem would make Shinigami weak.

A guess that belongs there. But I'm more than sure that he, like the other members of the zero squad, didn't care how it all ended. Remembering those moments when the Royal Guard did not come to confront Aizen, the strongest Shinigami in the world, but the whole crowd went to grab Azashiro, who made soldiers out of criminals for good purposes, then you can not make any guesses. (As I understand it, the novel with Azashiro is controversial, and is not fully considered canon. But I wrote it just for comparison)

It's been a while since I read CFYOW, but I remember that Tokinada actually copies Zangetsu, but since he doesn't have nearly as much spiritual pressure as Ichigo, the blade is brittle and shatters almost immediately.
