I laughed so hard when you came to the locked gate on the perfect bike path. We have been there… That is just so par for the course for Turkey. Gotta love it.

Thanks so much! Unfortunately the stove doesn’t unfold more than that - so I’m in the market for a new one ;) thank you for mentioning that though and for the well wishes :) safe and happy travels to you too!

Hey can I ask what you guys do as jobs? I’m always very curious about how people are able to support this kind of lifestyle/rides because I’m in a career change time and am looking for ideas of what I could do next, to be able to do stuff like this! Thanks for the vids!

Totally! Michael is in tech and works a regular 9-5 but was lucky enough to be able to take off a month to travel. I work at a bike shop that has been really understanding and supportive when I need to take time off to bike tour. And we also try to keep our costs as low as possible both on and off the road. There really are so many ways to do it - I hope you find the right fit for you!

Yes, yufka! We learned its name later and got to enjoy it with meat, cheese and potatoes as you mentioned which was incredible 😄 but for a quick snack on the road, this was great too!

Thank you so much for sharing this information! We didn’t realize it was supposed to be cooked 😂😂😂 it was so tasty as it was - but that makes sense now. Thank you for letting us know! And for the information about the dogs ☺️❤️

Fantastic series! Btw, that “community center “ is a municipal bureau for the ruling political party (leader of which is Erdogan) 😂

Omg, my wife and I burst laughing out loud at eating raw rufka 😂 it’s such a guilty pleasure from my childhood years (and probably every Turkish person ever). Kudos on discovering tahin pekmez 👊👊

IF they ask me to describe Turkey with one word that word would be hospitality :)
