THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE (CRAZY STORY!) / Four years ago I read a book and it changed my life. A few weeks ago, I got to interview the author. Full circle moment. It was freaking amazing, and the video is live now - with some sweet, super inspiring ‘day in the life’ bits for you as well!
The more you show up as yourself, the more other people will be inspired to do the same. It may sound a bit cheesy these days, but IT IS SO TRUE.
Not only do I get to interview Danielle LaPorte in today’s video, but I also get to stand in front of a group of the most incredible women, and share about what inspired me to do what I do today.
From 4 years ago reading a book on the beach in Thailand that changed my life, to interviewing the author of the book, this is a crazy full-circle episode that I can’t wait for you to check out!

When I was a young teen I would buy the Times Educational Supplement (which is newspaper for teachers in the UK), I wanted to be a teacher so bad. But for personal reasons I left home at 17 and joined the Royal Navy. I thought teaching was a lost dream, yet here I am, teaching, mentoring, and guiding people around the world to believe in themselves and their dreams. I only joined the dots a few years back. What’s interesting, in watching this video, is that one of the things that comes most naturally to me is learning new things (especially techno things), and sharing what I have learned. Biggest takeaway: show up as you are. Even if you’re struggling with owning who you are right now, that too is ok. It takes time. But trying is better than letting your authentic self hide underneath layers of “who you should be”. The thing that comes most naturally to me, aside from deeply loving our earth, is learning and helping others learn things that will help them live happier lives. Awesome video! That statement about loving yourself more than your job really rocked me back. As a creative, (art director, graphic designer, illustrator), I've always loved my job...but not myself. And making videos does NOT come naturally to me...I've always been more comfortable on the other side of the camera. Thank you, I'm a 63 year old full time professional musician/educator. I didn't pursue my dreams until I turned 40. Didn't learn to play piano till I was in my 30's. Went back to college and majored in Jazz piano performance in my 40's. Since 40 I've performed at Carnegie Hall, produced cd's, scored film, music directed plays. opened and ran my own music studio for the last 20 years. all after 40. Now at 63, my wife and I are moving to a new phase. I'm a new youtuber literally as of March. Want to inspire others to pursue their dreams because it's never too late as long as you're alive, as well as teach piano with videos online. I may be the only male subscriber, (maybe not, the principles you share are universal) but I truly believe Women offer a different insight than men do, you guys just think so much wider than men. We can have laser focus, but sometimes it can be to our detriment, at least I can say that my laser focus doesn't always serve me. Been married 35+ years, my wife is at least twice as smart as I am. Oh my goodness SOOOOO GOOD! This day in the life is AMAZING Sunny and you truly brought tears to my eyes with your incredible presentation. So moving, and I love that your friend's message is still living on through you. I think what comes most naturally to me is writing Christian romance novels, which is SO CRAZY because I haven't "allowed" myself to write a novel in years. Ever since I launched the Godlywood Girl School Of Purpose I've become addicted to the process of creating courses that help my students live their greatest purpose for Christ, and because I love that too it was easy to put aside my novel writing. But when I really think about it, the first goal I remember completing as a kid was writing a short story and submitting it to my school's literary competition in the 2nd grade. In 5th grade, my teacher said in front of the whole class that I was a really talented writer, and I started self-identifying as a writer from that second on. I still describe myself as a writer because for Godlywood Girl I still write how-to /self-help books that empower women of Christ to live their greatest purpose, but underneath it all.... I LOVE writing Christian romance stories. Definitely something to think about. Thank you so much Sunny!

8:06 About 18 months ago I came across the word Cogitate: to think deeply about something. I knew I wanted to utilize my skills to get the discussion going about so many ideas. I saved that word in my Google keep & moved forward in attempting to see what my channel would look like. This fall I discovered Monica Church & noticed that she named her Vlog channel after her initials. I was drawn to her content because she's develops her content around that title. For me, I did some introspection & realized my content will need to 3 words that spoke to my entropy: the tendency to minimum effort & maximum disarray [for me]. My 3 labels where Cogitating Logical Sphinx [for Charles Leroy Smith].
