I've just finished the 1st chapter having bought the Kindle version for 99p so thanks for the spoilers warning. I shall bookmark your video and come back to it when I've finished the book.

You dove into some really great parts apart this book! I was really hoping for more specific cultural context rather than a deep immersion on the human experience. However I agree it was really well done. Thanks for the great review!

Thank you! Ah okay, that's interesting. To be honest for me I felt like it had lots of cultural context (mainly because of my lack of knowledge beforehand).

The first 100pages turned like crazy for me very intense, then the next 100 pages are abit of a slow burner but an important eye opener to Refugees stories - I think she does this intentionally to show how slow time passes for them She closed the book off quickly But I do like the twist about Mohammed and her eyes your right
