„Gaining trust of tourists is the hardest thing to do“, I couldnt relate more to something than this 💀 Just so last week we had tickets for our local „adventure park“ which is also a destination for many tourists. We had 2 tickets but before we entered I realized that too many kids were around and we kinda felt uncomfortable as adults to go in. So we offered the other guests waiting in line that they can buy our tickets for half the price (30€ instead of 60€), we basically handing them out one ticket for free. Yet they were too scared to buy our tickets, we even offered that they give us the money only after they made sure the tickets are real, yet everyone was acting like the biggest NPCs who want to avoid to do something off script during their stay. EDIT: I want to make clear that this happened in the heart of switzerland, in my 30 years in switzerland I never encountered any scam, probably the safest country in europe regarding scams and crime. Tbh I would reject that offer too if it was in a city like barcelona or milano. Never the less, I couldnt care less about the 60CHF I lost, I just wanted to be nice to the people waiting in line.

LMAO I’m from Milan too. When I take the metro I usually buy a ticket. The ticket lasts 90 min. But I’m usually out of the transports in 20 min. Since I feel it’s a waste to throw it away, and since it’s not a cheap ticket, I usually give it to someone in the line at the ticket machine (the ticket is valid for all stops and can be used an unlimited amount of times in the 90’ arc). Most tourists (Italians and foreigners) think I want to scam them. Some say “no no no, I don’t have money”. Someone look at me with a sardonic smile and say “suuure, and how much are you going to charge me?” Most times I end up giving it to kids from Milan. They know the drill and don’t treat me as a scammer. It’s crazy because I’m just giving it for free. There is no catch. Only advantages. And even when I explain I want nothing back, people still say no. But then, big cities are scary for most people who have never been there… still. Kind of dumb to not take a free ticket.
