when you fell phantylia and finish the current story there i is a item you can get from the valley at the end of the event prayer machine it restores 1000 hp at the start of you charcters turns for the first five turns of the battle it wont help in this battle but if you can beat it you get a nice source of healing for a team that cant heal

The party slots have zero baring on who gets targeted. The only factors are different paths, some skills like Fire MC's taunt, March's shield and two light cones. Otherwise it is completely random.

The party slots do affect the position of your characters. This info isn't useful to Java since he's doing erudition only and all erudition characters have the same chance of being targeted, but for those of you who have preservation or destruction units, they will get targeted more often, so play them away from your more squishy teammates (usually on the edge) so that enemies that deal aoe attacks that don't hit your whole team will only hit 2 people instead of 3 when targeting your tank. Like if you put gepard on the 4th slot and he's targeted by an attack that his adjacent teammates, only teammates 3 and 4 will be hit, whereas if the enemy targets teammate 3, then that attack will hit 3 people, being teammates 2, 3, and 4.

its not the they dont target slot 4, its that they dont target erudition and hunt as much as abundance or preservation for example, and since your team is only erudition all characters have an equal chance of being attacked.

As for the team slot/damage relation, google is wrong (gasp, no way?). Different paths have different aggro values, Preservation>Destruction>Harmony=Nihility=Abundance>Erudition=Hunt, though Hunt often have passives that decrease their aggro further. Aggro values are essentially how likely a character is to be hit. Google probably decided just to say that the 1st slot should be hit most and 4 least since that's how many people order their characters (highest to lowest aggro) as to make their DPS take less splash damage.

Just to add to this comment, the aggro values should be 4 for Preservation, 3 for Destruction, 1 for Hunt and 2 for all the other Paths. Theoretically, the aggro value and character placing would be important, but since this is a Mono-Path run, all your characters will have the same aggro value, which is 2: on paper, they have each a 25% chance of getting targeted, but in reality it really is all a matter of RNGesus. I guess the most viable option is trying to farm relics to get some better ones, level up traces as far as you can and Light cones too (plus the consumables buffs). It may be just be enough to deal enough damage before getting the whole party wiped (while still praying that Jing Yuan doesn't get targeted)

unfortunately, phanthylia character forwards when reaches 1% hp on story, and she also does the full AoE attack on that one too, so if she prioritizes Himeko first on that, Jing Yuan will still be dead on her 2nd attack xd

if you do the new event theres a food in the shops that heals your characters for 5 turns its called prayer machine to get the recipe you need to finish the event to unlock the last shop or just buy as much as you can when you unlock the shop that sells it like this so he sees this!!!

yeah that healing set should in theory still work, they limit how much you heal but the set only lets you heal when you are below 50% so it'd still work

I barely managed to beat Phantylia with Bailu literally bringing my characters back from the dead, so the fact you managed to make it all the way to the third phase's last scripted attack on Jing Yuan is looking promising!

i think the attacking jing yuan is scripted since he's important in the story and the domain requires you to bring him, but i do know that all the paths have different aggro levels (destruction is the one that gets aggro the most i believe)

Same, but the thing is, i had Natasha in my team.. yes, she was very poorly built as i barely knew how to build that character, or any of my characters for that matter because all the terms, paths, elements, relics, lightcones, etc were a lot different from genshin even tho I've been playing for around 2 years, but she's nonetheless a healer. Java on the other hand doesn't have any healers whatsoever, but if he was allowed to use an Abundance character, I have a feeling he would've been able to do it first try.

Erudition is still my fav path and yesterday I got Himeko's 5* light cone and her E1 (lost my 50/50 but anyway), just after finally getting a 4* Herta light cone for the first time last week, it loves me back 🩵 Hopefully it keeps loving you too and the challenge will be successful!

The anti healing effect just reduces the max amount of hp a character can have aka you cant heal over the gray part on the bar it doesnt actually limit any healing under that at all and since the set only heals when your under 50% hp that set would be practically unaffected by the debuff making it very good for your use case

the flowers just reduce the max % of your hp which can be healed (the gray bar on the characters hp bar is what you cant heal up) but they dont make it so that you cant heal at all so that relic set would not be useless

The little flowers don't actually put an anti heal on you and actually just limit your max hp, so you can still have the relic set heal you every turn. You just can't heal past a certain % of your health. You'd still have more health than the red health you have toward the end of the third phase.

The Targeting of Characters is based of an Target Value which is dependant of the path of the character.

Noting that Sim universe 5 is way easier if you go abundance and manage to get 9 buffs so you can get the resonance, the debuff cleanse enhancement, and the auto refresh enhancement. That almost guarantees the confusion mark will be automatically removed each turn if you have enough speed. But you need to take every opportunity to get buffs over curios and refresh if you don't see abundance, forgoing being able to upgrade if necessary. Keep at it and you should be able to best kafka!

Choose Destruction or Nihility, if you don't have any healers. I completed all the worlds without using any healers or preservation, choosing Nihility gives you a blessing where you heal when a character deals DOT damage, which is good for erudition specially if you have Kafka and Himeko

Enemies' targeting system does not depend on the order you put your characters in the menu. Each path has a taunt value, The taunt values for each path are the following: Erudition: 75 Hunt: 75 Abundance: 100 Harmony: 100 Nihility: 100 Destruction: 125 Preservation: 150 The higher the value, the higher the chances are for an enemy to attack a character from one path. Some external buffs like march's shield, some lightcones, Clara's ult or lynx's (new character) healing ability can increase the chances of a character being hit. You can play around this and make some units get less targeted, for example: Some people out a tank such as fmc in the last/first slot next to another character that is also tanky, a healer for example. I personally like to put my tank in the middle (3rd or 4th slot) and put my dps and support arount it, the reason i do this is because in case one enemy does an AoE attack, my dps, support and tank get some energy when being hit. You only have erudition characters which means there's a 25% chance of an enemy hitting a character in specific.

I feel like it might be smart to increase equilibrium? You'll have to do a lot more farming though to get character levels and traces up, however you might be able to unlock more of the passive abilities from characters, giving you an advantage (the ones that require Echo of War drops). Even though this might be only after the 70-80 ascension, so this might be useless for now

Hey Java 11:12 you were talking about how the boss knows who to target. The order you place your characters is important unlike in genshin. The first and fourth characters will get targeted the most so putting Jingyun in the second or third place is probably better. To grind simulated universe successfully just spam maps you can beat even if it's past weekly rewards you get xp to put into the skill tree and unlock the cleanse from abundance perk that literally solves all your Kafka issues and extra mats and XP to maybe use towards relics as for food buffs I don't use food at all but grinding simulated universe should be able to get you strong enough

So first of all there are taunt values that decide whos gonna be targeted and its partially rng meaning party slots dont change it. secondly (correct me if Im wrong) but I am 99,9% sure that the attack she does at 1% hp always hits Jing Yuan (at least thats what she did for me)!

It took me many tries with fully leveled characters, fully leveled traces, and fully leveled light cones before I finally just had to level most of my relics. Only then was I able to survive the battle. ㅠㅠ

There are potentially two better options for health consumables for the fight: 1. Longevity Pill of Cruelty, which will increase hp by 20% and Effect res by 6%. You can get it from the currency shop on the Xianzhou. 2. Prayer Machine, which will restore your teams' and the enemy's hp for 1000 the first five turns of battle. You can usually only get it from the Aurum Alley area which is locked behind completing the main story, HOWEVER: there is a merchant called Maozhen in Cloudford near the Trove of Verdure teleport who will sell you a set number of unclaimed parcels each week. The more valuable box has a chance for you to get Prayer Machine, though I'm unsure of the odds and you only get 3 parcels each week. (also unsure of whether you have to complete the main story to unlock him or not, in which case this wouldn't help).

While I can't speak much towards the second point because I haven't tested that out myself yet, I can say that the 14% hp buff that I was using actually is better than the 20%. But that's only because the 15% also gives an additional flat HP buff, and at level 60, the flat Hp plus the 14% equates to a higher total amount than just the 20%. It's close, but I did do out the math beforehand to make sure I was using the best buff available 👍🏻

the flowers dont stop you from healing though? the debuff only restricts you to 60% health so it doesnt stop the wuthering set at all since it will only ever be able to get you to 58% health in the first place. even beyond that, 8% damage reduction here is very valuable. obviously farming relic sets is frustrating but its also a set you should have in reserve anyway for a team that cant heal.

basically during the final phase she is invincible at 1% and guarantees hit jingyuan in the main story basically you just have to survive that final hit, it sucks but that’s just how the main story fight goes

Luckily soon there will be 2 erudition imaginary characters such as screwllum and one other, it’s going to be much later as in December but it would still be very useful on this bossfight having a imaginary weakness

Only Screwllum is Imaginary Erudition, afaik. Maybe you meant Dr. Ratio, who's an Imaginary Hunt? Or perhaps you meant Argenti, who is Erudition but Physical 😉
