The Mom leaves a few months later moves all the way across country to Florida and Dwight ends up showing up at her place and tries to kill her and gets arrested would have been more interesting of a movie if they would have left that part in instead of ending it here

I actually lived in Concrete, Washington where part of the movie was filmed. My family and I lived in the middle of town at the time of the filming. I mean right in the middle of town! I was nine years old, and if I remember correctly, filming began in the spring of 1992. I have memories when when the production was filming this movie. I remember that it was a big hassle when filming started because we could only go though town certain hours of the day. Also I believe members of the production would come over to my house and tell my mother to not go into town because they were filming. Boy was my mom not happy! My mom and her significant other would have to hurry up and run their errands before filming started up again! I also remember my mom, her boyfriend, and I went to a local restaurant for dinner. Robert Di Niro was there eating supper. There was a group of women at the table next to us waiting for him to finish eating so they could get his autograph. My mother was not one of them! My family could care less about the or the actors that came to town. However it was fun to point out the places in Concrete scenes in the movie because I go to those regularly.

My dad was Tobias. X 20. He was called only GDSOB for the entire time he was raised by his step dad. (4-14) They called him Daddy Shorty. I don’t know his real name. But dad told me he had enough of the beatings at 14 years old that he “took Daddy Shorty out of the house screen door and all.” My dad beat on a drunk abuser in the front yard until he was unconscious. All the neighbors closed their blinds. They knew, everyone knew of the violence and abuse but it was the 50’s and 60’s. Dad left that day and only came home for short times until the abuse started and he left. Dads gone now I hate he never got to be the son he wanted to be. Loyal and faithful to the end. Loving and sacrificing. He would go on to raise a family that knew nothing of his trauma. I wish dad could have had a dad like I had. Like he was. Ironically I wish I could be a dad like he was to me. What an amazing man. Maybe my wife and I can help foster kids that know trauma like dad knew. And make for a better life and world he wished he had. God bless the man now sorely missed.
