People and kids were always reaching out to pet my parrot but, I had to tell them just because he didn't bite me doesn't mean he won't bite them. PARROTS do no like fingers pointing at them. I'd stick my finger in kids faces and asked them if they liked it ? They always said no of course. One old woman kept trying to touch me she'd forget about my parrot. He did bite her once. I felt horrible and put a bandaid on her finger. I was in assisted living for awile and my parrot was always with me.

I can see that these people were very nice. You didn’t have to make the title about a child wanting to harm Hope as you do with most of your videos of Hope at the park like the guy who didn’t put his dog on a leash. That’s understandable, but he’s a child.

you do know that macaws have the bite force of a large dog right? if hope feels threatened or the need to protect itself he will bite. a child thrusting a stick up at him which may hurt him can cause injury to the child if hope doesn't feel safe. Children are not the best at controlling their strength because they don't know any better, but kids usually learn quick when they get hurt. shes protecting the child and teaching others as well.

•Jo• because Hope is Free Fly Trained I needed to train him not to land on strangers. It’s a huge deal. I dont want him to land on random strangers and get sued or stolen. It’s a liability issue. It would be very hard for a child or a dog to have that happen and not respond in their natural way. Adults and older kids may not react, but young kids and animals can't be blamed if they do. Hopefully the dog would be leashed and not get far, but Hope is still being cheeky and teasing them, as he's smart enough to enjoy games like that. It would only take one miscalculation on his part and even a leashed dog could jump and have hold of him in a split second. No dog owner could react that fast. Hope's playful personality could get him in real trouble if not curbed.
