Crazy I had the same spring on the same side same axle break on mine last fall working out of town so I had to have a shop do it because I didn't have enough tools with me. I lucked out it only cost me $1100. I'm going to end up doing my steer axle bushings this winter, just put new kingpins in a bit ago. It's not the repairs that costs you money It's the downtime not working making the money that really costs a guy. Great video! Don't forget to go back over and read torque all of your U-bolts.

Saved alot doing this yourself! May have lost a week but needed to be done, and you knocked out a lot more on the upgrades to the suspension. Great work!!!

Just curious, do the side dumps ever tip over?? I’ve pulled end dump Michigan trains and they go over once in a while.
