As I said in one of your shorts, I have a Deviate Highlander 150. After just 1 km on it I already felt at home. I really like the feel/suspension/control on this bike. This is definitely the best bike I've had so far. Let's just say that since I got this bike, I'm really sold on the brand. I hope you really enjoy it like I do.

It's been extremely intuitive for sure, and as you will see soon quite quick too!

How do you like the magura brakes? I never thought I'd like anything other than shimano and after trying them for a while I am now a believer.
@daverotors Жыл бұрын
Maybe Dale will chime in as well, but for my part, I just switched out my MT7s for Shimano XT again. The Maguras are great if they're setup perfectly, but setup and bleeding are a nightmare. Also the brake levers feel low quality (they're fiber/plastic) and started rattling quite a bit on my bike.
@DaleStone Жыл бұрын
I need more time on them, but I see no reason to change what's working on my personal bikes. The plastic wood screw lever clamp is a bit... interesting.
@kendrickcarroll680 Жыл бұрын
If you could only have one bike, would you lean more towards big suspension (and be "overbiked" for a lot of stuff), or less suspension (you can still have fun just about anywhere)?
@DaleStone Жыл бұрын
A great question that I'm always trying to answer myself, haha. I genuinely think the two bike strategy is the best option, but I'd probably go slightly under-biked as pedalling a bike bike up the bill every single time is soul sucking.
@gnar_tar Жыл бұрын
I'd be curious of your thoughts between this single high pivot versus the range VHP ?
@DaleStone Жыл бұрын
I'd love to do a video like this sometime, but the Norco is not fun to get to the top of the hill with, and is basically a dual crown DH bike in disguise. This Deviate Highlander has been a lot more fun, enjoyable, and gets up the hill a ton more readily haha. Different bikes!
@bleauup Жыл бұрын
I’ve asked the same question to Dave with his high pivot bike....Do you lose anything in the manouvravility area (trial moves, bunny hop, manual...) with the high pivot? Thx

Hard to say, but initial reaction is that geo is the most important thing for slow tech, not kinematics.
