I’m from the Phiippines at na-inspire ako matuto ng ibang language dahil sa mga kagaya nila na magaling sa hindi nila mother tounge. It’s cool na marunong mostly ang Filipinos sa English and Tagalog (and ung iba may dialects pa). What more kung madagdagan pa yung alam na language. Hanga ako sa mga nag-eeeffort talaga maging fluent sa ibang language.

Lucas has adopted Filipino humor as well. One reason Christmas starts as early as September is because of the mall decoration season. After the school year starts, the next holiday event is Christmas. Halloween nor Thanksgiving nor other holidays are not celebrated. To encourage shopping, Mall owners started to bring out the Christmas decorations and music progressively earlier than December.

When I closed my eyes and listened to them they somewhat sounded like Bisaya who are speaking in Tagalog. But their pronunciation is pretty good for Westerners. Little to no twang, which is typical for Tagalog-learners from America and other English-speaking countries.
