I just watched it and the ending made me hella emotional. Something about Klaus is special, what makes it unique is not only the amazing art style but overall the storytelling and the nostalgic feeling that comes with it.

the people you wondered if were Russian are Sami, who are the indigenous people of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia, and they speak their language. I also loved your reaction
@robertscott1949

The language spoken by Margu in Klaus is authentic Sami. They got a girl named Nada from Tromsø, Norway, a real Sami girl, to speak the part of Margu. Kudos to Sergio Pablos for going above and beyond to authentically portray these people (unlike the crew on Frozen who didn't even try).

YYEEEESSSSS!!!!! I love Klaus!!! That is best Netflix Christmas movie EVER!!!! Perfect choice to start the holidays. I love the animation, the rude sarcastic humor, the characters (aka little Margu), the storyline, and the message that it sends... "A true act of goodwill always sparks another." When I first saw this movie, I cried by how beautifully well done this was made. JUST LOVE IT!!!! actually got my parents and my big sister to watch it. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family. ^-^

Nononono XD The Grinch (the old and new one) and Polar Express are THE best Christmas movies of ALLLLL TIME- these classics can NEVER be overrun lol edit: THO who knows this might just be rewatchable or only a one-timer.. but all in all this movie is pretty amazing I can give it that AND I guess it does make a good STARTER film for the month of Christmas indeed EDIT 2: OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD BUT STILL CANT TOP THE OG CLASSICS BUT I THIS MIGHT JUST BE A CLASSIC OVER TIME

No, cuz like, fr everytime "Invisible" by Zara starts playing, and we see the progression of them developing through their desire to do something for Margu, I get so emotional too. Its such a beautiful part of the film and I love that the song was literally made for the film. It fits all of their stories so well.

i create the symbolism of jasper by helping the girl wants to convey that it doesn't matter if she's from another culture or speaks a different language, you can do a true act of kindness. Many times we separate ourselves with the words "my people" and we forget that those walls are only in our heads and many times it is not even something we want but we repeat what others say and that is how hate begins

I'm not one usually for reaction videos but your commentary and reactions always have me returning. I don't regret subbing and notifying your videos. So glad you seen this movie, and also-- it makes me so happy you pause the videos! I tried a different reaction channel after you made me second guess myself about liking these channels... that person who shall not be named never paused. It... drove me bonkers. I couldn't focus on them and watching them miss key points of the movie because of it only made me just rage quit. I think I'll just stick with watching your videos. Your videos bring me absolute joy.

My husbands grandfather passed away last November, and when we watched Klaus for the holidays it hit us especially hard this time, because we couldn’t help but draw parallels between Klaus and Paw, who was a jolly tinkerer himself. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to know kind, creative, generous elder people.

I think the reason why they didn’t show the dead hog in Jasper, it’s probably because they wanted the audience to try to figure out if you did the right thing or not because if they would’ve shown him getting hugged, we would’ve already figured that he would’ve stayed, but they wanted a twist

They're the Sami-people, the indigenous North-Scandinavian people (still living in Norway, Sweden and Finland and just over the borders into Russia), a lot of time if you write a letter to Santa Clous in the North-pole it goes to Finland as many belive he live in "Lappland" as it's above the Arctic Circle, unfortunately the term used to describe the land where the Sami live is by most of them considered over time to have become if not originally offensive, so calling it by their own name Sàpmi is more respectful =)

I believe Klaus' end is painted like that partly because it's a "kids movie", but it's also a way to keep the mythical side of the story, how Jesper saw it and how he as narrator wants us to remember Klaus.
