For why Lucy's kiss "cures" Davids Cyberpsychosis: Cyberpsychosis is heavily linked to your mental health. The Cybwerware makes it very easy for you to dissociate from reality once your mental health goes down the drain. In the game theres some side missions where you neutralize cyberpsychos and then investigate what happened and in all cases some pretty bad stuff happened to the cyberpsycho in recent times. So when Lucy who is Davids support system kisses him he comes back to normal. This would likely not be permanent and David would need to downgrade heavily immediatly to get rid of the cyberpsychosis for good. Another very interesting thing is that David from the start was practically made to be an edgerunner. One of the first things we learn about David is that he attends Arasaka high to fufill his moms dream, then he promises to take Lucy to the moon to fufill her dream, David doesn't have a dream of his own he is someone who does a lot of self sacrificing and this type of martyrdom is glorified among Edgerunners. After all you are remembered for how you die not how you lived and David did become a legend in Night City for going out in a blaze of glory. And for Ron I can't recommend the game enough. It was probably my favorite playthrough out of any game I played.

I love we got all 3 of these in one go. From the moment that David slipped up in Episode 8 and killed that woman who was just like his own mom, he was stuck repeating the cycle that lead to his own pain, but he still managed to find a way to turn his spiral into something that saved the person he loved and destroyed what pulled him down. Rebecca's still my favourite character from anything in a long time, and she went out exactly like she lived.

This show was amazing but also very emotionally draining. It definitely took it's toll of depression on me for a long period of time. Just losing all the likeable characters that you grew to have a bond with from the beginning to just taking them away in the end. It was really heartbreaking, but it's something that has to be accepted within Night City. As Johnny Silverhand says from the game. "A happy ending? For folks like us?... Wrong city...Wrong people..."

Also there are so many foreshadowing that David would've died. Like for example in episode 4/5 probably, Lucy basically said you become an edgerunner by how you DIE. And there are so many more foreshadowing, but which were pretty subtle, but after the ending you realise it was right in your face.

Glorian wanted David to be on top of Arasaka and being respected by everyone. In a twisted way he fulfilled her dream, he went there and he was respected by EVERYONE around him, even Faraday and Adam Smasher had to recognize that he was a badass.

The ending is so depressing because David is entirely to blame for how things turned out. Because of how avoidable all of this was. David had many signs and at the very LATEST David should have noticed that the edge runner life and the entire city is not for him after Maine died. But he doubled down. Stupidly went THE SAME path as Maine although he was right there to see where it led him. The right move would have been to leave the fucking city .. Not to the damn moon, just some other place. No matter how shitty the future is they paint for us, there will always be places for normal people to live in. I only felt bad for Lucy because she fell in love with a foolish child who had a completely immature outlook on life.

No matter how I look at it, the sub version is always better. Maybe ep 6 was an exception, but overall, sub wins. Dub fails to deliver emotions sometimes. I teared up every single time watching this anime on sub, but not a single time in dub. Yea ye personal preference and all but...watching anime the way it was produced is always a better experience because they give a lot of attention to how the words and lines are delivered, it just hits different. I am not saying dub is bad, but it is not as good as sub, that's all. Tbh, I expected a way sadder reaction to the final episode.😅 Sadly, there is only one chance for a first impression. Anyway, Akudama drive and 86 are my recommendations.
