2 little tricks that greatly helped me with playing bap. 1. Think of burst heal as activating a Winston Bubble sized heal around you. 2. Bap heal grenades and lamp trajectory are the same.

I know these and i still suck at baptiste.. He feels like i cant get value out of him as easily as i can with kiko or granny or even lucio 90% of the time.and my teammates expect me to hit pharah midair with my healing grenades... Maybe the top sr players can do that but down here in gold that aint happening im sorry

@Silent_k225 I do prefer Ana over Bap. She feels more rewarding. Bap is something I will pick if my team needs a lot of healing and at the same time I need to poke out an enemy flier since I can weave both. But almost any other situation I would rather run Ana.

why is chat so rude? 🙁 people send their gameplay in to improve. they take a chance to put their gameplay out there knowing it’s not the best, and people in chat just dog on them for their rank and their console? how bitter do you have to be? do you have that much hate in your heart? especially considering the fact that a lot of the times, the people that send their gameplay in are in chat, so they see you say things like “console bronze is like watching a toddler play a game for the first time” or something like that. it’s just mean and rude!!!!

Because Emongg’s constructive criticism is sometimes more criticism than constructive. Don’t get me wrong, he 100% gives great feedback in terms of reasoning and logic, but he gets frustrated for things he should’ve seen coming or words it in an insulting way. For example, if the player didn’t know how to use their cooldowns at the beginning of the game, of course they’re going to continue to make mistakes all throughout the game. I don’t see why he got frustrated as if it wasn’t expected.

@@DarkestNova556 i don't really agree at all, emongg always presents things in a very light hearted and silly way, and he only continues to nitpick on those things because it shows the player how these things are a pattern, to drive the point home and explain exactly what they can start working on. compared to a lot of other ow streamers who do vod reviews like this, i find him to be really kind whilst still being funny AND fair. as for chat, most of them are also just laughing along at the silly things - obviously i'd imagine the people sending these in also gotta know they're doing silly things and that people might react that way. i do feel like ppl in the chat are a lot more critical or harsh towards the players themselves though and aren't really thinking of the fact that the person who submitted the vod is likely in chat too

that high jump into a burst heal mid-air with full health and no nearby teammates was one of the most insanely baffling things I've seen from this game. It feels like this Baptiste is using burst heal as a "just in case somebody shoots me as I'm doing something let me burst heal to heal myself" kind of thing, even when they're near cover, with their team, etc. This is up there with that time I saw a Moira ignoring the control point on Nepal while the tank and a DPS were trying to push so she can 1v1 a Roadhog. Didn't even have the decency to toss a healing orb in the general direction of the point.

I think this player plays a lot of Moira and he must have Moira's gameplay in mind when playing Bap, hence the randomly thrown lamps, which would be the damage/healing orbs.

Maybe try lamping more defensively, like look for opportunities where you ally has to cross a bunch of open space to get to cover and lamp that space when you see them trying to get out (you want them to get out safe or take fatal damage in the lamp) Burst heal is the only tool to fix yourself. Save if for when you're really hurt, multiple teammates are really hurt and grouped up, or you're super desperate cause you missed too many right clicks

When you can't play your main, I think trying an untested hero causes a lot of overuse of abilities as you just try harder to perform. Over thinking seems to be the biggest issue in that respect. I do it a lot and try to over compensate and by being TOO focussed on playing well, it ends up in bad plays and missed cooldowns management

bottom tier bronze console is funny but I miss the days of like season 5 Overwatch 1 when you could smurf into bronze to see what it's like and people would just be running around all over the maps genuinely no clue what they're doing, people hiding in rooms alone, mercy's on an adventure to the other side of the map for no reason. It was the realm of 7 year olds and 60+ year olds just having the time of their lives regardless of the objective lmao. Bronze these days is like OW1 plat, people are still kinda clueless but also oddly sweaty for no reason - it's a shame, I miss seeing the old Bronze games

i once had a bap who thouhgt you become dmg immune with baps lamp....i had to explain to them that you just wont die at a certain hp point in the lamp, it doesnt cancel out the dmg when you are above that hp point and they were like "just play your role, stupid dps :)" it was in plat/diamond and im in master with support lol

2:13 Well obviously the bap shouldn't have gotten in this position, but since he is USE HIS PASSIVE. Super jump gets you on the high ground to your left and you can probably kill that out of position JQ while they try to chase you up. USE THE PASSIVE it's one of the best in the game to position and win 1v1s.

Beyond the obvious spamming of cooldowns issue stop healing when it's not needed. If you're team is full health you are simply wasting your time with a pointless activity. Do damage. It's one of the biggest reasons to play Bap. If you end a match with Bap and you haven't got at least 10 picks you've done something wrong.
