Flamethrower is too inconsistent, overheat is too slow. They both have advantages, but I prefer overheat as well.

metagross is cool, be careful tho its early game sucks, you can still lane with it, and possibly stack with it too (probably best to be somewhat aggressive and steal opposition farm) mid-late game is pretty good however you need to understand how to use its boosted to efficiently use the moves better
