I love to see non-guide videos. I saw other people use archmage on dark dungeon and it seemed insane, I wonder why it didn't work here

im guessing you saw ryan's run? well yeah he spent all of his money and used sauda (she wrecks that map on her own pretty much), dungeons is probably the best map for it too so thats why it might look better than it really is, its just not that good even with the buff

I feel like it works best on dungeons because of the fact that it can attack through obstacles. That might be its best reasoning to ever use it.

an interesting r100 solution that woulda been cheaper than FS is upgrading support chinook, and then chinooking archmage to the start of the round. and using psi to help clean insides. u maybe coulda saved a bit more off ceram cleanup too if u did chinook idk. really cool run nonetheless

chinook would not have given me enough damage, i tested that before i did the run and it didnt do enough, also good chance it dies to the ddt insides cus that probably pops the bad at the very end if it pops it at all

I did complete chimps on this map a couple days ago with the same wizard path tower, but with a different set up (the spike mine set up at bottom left area 😅). It did take me 2 attempts to beat it without restart (1st attempt died to forgetting to place hero, and yes I somehow completely forgot to place my hero on that attempt 😂)

Any advice for the r40 moab? Every time i try a new advanced/expert map the defense i get early game ends up sucking vs the first moab and it just pisses me off. I know 0-2-4 sniper works on pretty much every map but I wanna try other towers too. I feel like on expert maps you're forced to combo your towers with the hero you pick, which I don't really like because it removes variety but yeah.

alch buffed triple gun sub usually works, or if you can pop the layer easily but struggle to the insides, 2 1-1-0 glue gunners can help a lot

I’m still not convinced that archmage is terrible, even for this map, and it’s because of the position. Sure, behind the trees is a legendary spot for an arcane mastery, but archmage fared much better higher up in my experience, when it can really shred Moabs. Pair with Glord or PoD and you can bb ravine just fine. I understand that this is more of a challenge video, but there still aren’t many towers that can do what archmage does here and save up as much money as you did. Archmage remains a situational tower even after the buffs, but I still believe that it is the kind of tower that NK intended to add, one that they never needed to modify after so many years.

most towers get more money spare btw, like a vast majority, and I'm gonna be honest, black borders aren't a good metric for telling if towers are good because they use all of the money you get, archmage still isn't good

Is it at least fair to say that the archmage is like the GMN where it has great synergy with basically every buff? I’ve done all pops r140 with it before so I may be biased.

I'm not sure if you understand this Tower or if you're talking about archimage and I was outside that I honestly absolutely disagree. He's amazing Tower I used them before he's a MOAB popper play balloon popper.

yeah he's a 50k tower that cannot pop a single super ceramic without being carried and overclock, it does pretty okay vs moabs but the ceramic weakness is insane
