This Build Is Starting To Feel UNFAIR On NBA 2k25

Let's be honest rec randoms don't pass to the center in general. After making 4 centers at 95 or more ovr the most effective rec random center builds have 88+ interior d 87+ pass 96+ rebound then whatever else you want. Having a 3pt shot to force the other center out of the paint is ideal. A good inside center can dominate but you have to hope the randoms will pass you the ball and let you work in the paint which is very rare. You will win more games and get more rep as a center by grabbing boards and passing to the open man instead of trying to score 20+ points per game.

I agree. I made a center build that was very focused in scoring but I don’t even score as much so I’m planning on making one that is more for rebounding and defense with some scoring at least.

They be blind as a muthafreaking bat it's insane. I've had games with the other center sitting in the paint for at least 3 of the 4 quarters yet I can't get a pass for a jumper cause all my teammates wanna go and think they're ja Morant trying to dunk on everyone

I've been running big for the last few years after running 6'7-6'10 most of the previous 2ks. You MUST be able to shoot. Have high passing (You will really be the general and point guard of the team. Especially if you play the game the right way and make the right passes.) Randoms will rarely ever give you the ball in the paint but will pass to every one else in the paint.. I'm talking wide open, cuts.. you are INVISIBLE. It's frustrating so what did I do? I ran 7'3 max wing span builds like Wemby. I'd usually be player of the half or game even though I rarely got touches because damn near every rebound was mine... I could shoot, drive, iso, run point and guard 1-5 so I didn't NEED anyone to PASS me the ball. I'd grab the rebound and control the game off of outlet passes. Being a big is fun, you're much more dominant in ways you can't be on a guard. Always preferred the bigger builds in 2k.

yup this is correct. i got 99 rebounding 87 pass acc +1 to hof break starter and 75 three ball to space the floor. im a triple double machine in random rec

Low key, if you drop the standing dunk to an 81 you lose out on 1 badge but I’ve never noticed a different between 90 and 81. And you can add that to per d/steal/driving dunk/pass acc and other attributes to get other badges

Playing as a center in random Rec is nothing but pain and suffering 😂 I’ll grab boards and dot everyone averaging 9-10 assists a game (doing more playmaking than the guards), but only get like 4-6 shot attempts a game 😭 I’ll literally go 2-2 or 3-4 from 3 as a stretch big, and these mfs WILL NOT pass to the open man in the corner/wing. Mind you, I’m only getting these shots due to there being an ai on the court where I’ll call for the ball myself when I’m open 🥲 and these randoms still won’t pass the ball when I’m shooting efficient.

if you go in expecting 20 boards and 10 assists and get excited when these randoms start passing the ball cuz they most likely will notice you playing well eventually. Its word soup but i feel like thats the mindset.

@@jamesprall9964 that’s the thing, a lot of times I have the highest pass accuracy as the center and the game makes me come grab the ball and bring it up the court 😂 a lot of my assists are in the half court setting. I know a lot better than to waste possessions throwing Hail Mary passes on a prayer.

I know people are going to disagree but this mindset that every pass a point makes has to be an assist. I have 5 builds 4 point. Because of steals 1. The ball has to make it past half court safely 2. If I can find a cutter or or open spot to pass to within 3 seconds pass 3. That pass usually involves the receiver making the next pass for an easy score because I read the defense. Problem is most randoms don’t make that pass. The toxicity of the community thinks if we’re not scoring it’s the point guards fault. Or if the team scores without the point he’s trash.

Advice as a stretch, don’t be afraid to off dribble your middies when they try to close out on you on the perimeter. We don’t get shifty shooter at 7’0 but at 80+ and hotspots it becomes extremely easy to knock them down, especially with KD’s pull up

On my big I sit dead in the center of the key so it’s hard to miss u n don’t set screens til they hit u but wat I do is pass to who pass to me they will eventually catch on n start hitting u more wen u grab a board n don’t hit them

I average 28 pts, 24 Reb, 8 AST, 2 STL, 3.7 BLK on 57% from three - pure solo Rec. I’m not sure why people keep saying you never get passed to, if I’m not getting the ball on open shots I’m yelling at the bums on the mic. It works fine for me, just be vocal, if I’ve got a decent team there’s no need to say anything, they seem to find me NP. I’m playing on purple level though, not sure if that matters.

100%- ive played silver solo and purple solo and was getting dotted everytime up the court with purple but silver just dribble and take moving trays, though i would say theres rebounding pfs as you get past gold which makes getting over 20 in a game a lot harder imo. whats ur build yn
