With The Gen3 also you can see the shot pattern. I’d like you to show us the difference of Gen 4 with the wide angle versus the narrow angle view. The Gen 3 only shows the narrow view. Sometimes it helps to identify which station I’m on, and a wide view would help to see the entire path from hi/low house to the break point.

You should try it with something in the background. Bushes, trees something. It will show up the flight path and how the gun is moving compared to the target. With blue sky background it appears more like nothing is moving much.

Will this 4th Gen record only on the shot or can you set it to record constant from wake up. I would like to see video from when I call for the bird to shot to watch swing or stopping of the gun etc. Thanks

It looks like the crosshairs in the Shotkam aren't aligned. Even when you powder a target, the crosshairs appear to be well below the clay. Thoughts?

The 'tap on the stock' to turn it on; Would the clonk of closing an over and under be the same?

Yes. When you set the gun mode to "Over/Under", it looks for the upward acceleration of the action to activate the camera.

Update..Only clays so far this season, weather way too warm for proper fowling, anyway found it's BRILLIANT for English Skeet [it is not me lol] with soft shooting Fiocchi 28g blue No1 shells..so comfortable for an afternoons session of 4 or 5 rounds on the semi circle..HEY what choke you got in that BTW....all the best for your season mate.

Yes you can. I align my cross hair right to the center of the bead.

Do you always need to wake it up by bumping the stock? I've heard you can set it to buffer videos and it will automatically save down like 10-15 seconds before and after the shot? Without waking it up?

You can also do manual recordings with it. For the shot to be captured automatically you do need to wake the camera up though.

Great video! I just bought one but won't be able to use it until next week. When you are shooting, do you have the ShotKam connected to your phone so that it continuously downloads the shots? Or do you download them after you're all done shooting?
